I noticed most of her best vocals are when she rehearsals, or when she sings with her vocal coach. When she’s really on stage, she just dances the whole time, or she does some quick change before singing ballad. It’s obvious she’s a bit tried, so when she really sings, her voice is shaking sometimes, but these are some of her best live vocals.

If you compared it to her early 2000s days. She trained and got so much better. She’d never do any of these notes when she came out with I’m Real, If You Had My Love, Love Don’t Cost A Thing. She’s so much better now. As she aged, her confidence grew

I don't find her so terrible. She is definitely not a great singer and when she dances she really struggles with her breath but in slow songs she is quite good/decent and she is not afraid to throw herself and try to sing high notes even at the cost of shouting or not succeeding perfectly. There are certainly worse singers. Selena Gomez for example.

For me, she is more inspiring to me than if she were an unquestionably good singer. Her not being perfect makes it relatable for the average person and not feel intimidated to sing along with her. Her consistency is also impressive, she keeps singing her ass off no matter what people or haters say and that is what life is about. Kudos to my girl.

Actually jlo in early of the 90s, she’s never considered being “marketable” or “look good”, she said she needed to wear baggy costumes and dance with male dancers because of her curvy body. During that time, it was a supermodel era. She had a career because her phenomenal works on Selena and Out of Sight. And this woman has changed the beauty standard forever

Also the Get right performance the Belt in G5 is impressive...she manages to keep her vocals well connected throughout the registers. She has great control over her mix, and can either choose to have a lighter, headier mix, or one that is more chest-dominant, both produced with decent technical ability to.

No ones claiming to be able to sing though. In all honesty, her voice is average. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not great.

She's literally speaking in rhythm of the song most of the time. When she's actually singing, its strained. She's a good performer but you can't prove me she's even an average singer
Exactly. Speaking in rhythm was thing back then but it's hard to know what vocals are actually JLO's from her old music..
She is a very meh singer but she is a good dancer and show-creator....and good actress.
Her best asset is being a dancer I think and inspiring videos.

I think she already has a vocal coach. That's why she can at least hit some notes now, which is the least anyone can do as a professional singer. But she lacks a musical x-factor. A vocal coach can't change that.
