  • PRINCE Andrew needs to be kicked out of Royal Lodge and it's a shame the late Queen didn't sort out his situation before she died, a royal expert has claimed.
The disgraced Duke of York, 64, currently resides at the Windsor Great Park lodging in Berkshire, which boasts 30 rooms, a swimming pool and large grounds.
Andrew has been refusing to vacate the property despite reports suggesting that King Charles wants him to move to Frogmore Cottage.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, historian and biographer Hugo Vickers has now suggested Andrew "needs to live somewhere smaller".
During an exclusive conversation with The Sun’s Royal Editor, Matt Wilkinson, Hugo was asked what he thinks the King should do with Prince Andrew and Royal Lodge.

It's his property he paid a lot of money for it, so no, he shouldn't be kicked out it's not a free house. Andrew paid with his own money, the only way he could be evicted is if he doesn't keep up with the repairs and Beatrice's husband is helping him.

THIS fellow needs to learn his history. The Royal LOdge is the traditional home of the Duke of York, since before Queen Elizabeth was born (George VI was the Duke of York til he became King) After he died, the Queen Mum moved back to the Royal Lodge and lived there alone for decades (with staff, like Andrew and Fergie) and no one said a word. Charles is finding out the hard way that ""slimming the MOnarchy "" is turning into a disaster.....BEFORE the Queen died, there were over 100 charities waiting for a Royal patron. When the Queen passed, she left over 300 more. Bea should be called into service, as should the Tindalls, or there's going to be trouble...Wills can't do everything alone. The sense of entitlement, the whinging, the demands-------all have been present throughout Andrew's life. He's done some shady things, and it's time that he stands on his own two feet. Has it ever occurred to him to earn his own keep? We see this problem with Andrew and also Harry. Life of the indolent, life of the demanding. Another royal that's a waste of air and space.

If the problems regarding the structures of the house are continuing, it will at the end be extremely difficult to fix and extremely expensive.

It is an unpopular point of view, but I feel sorry for Andrew. He is not a self-made man but a product of his upbringing. As the favoured son, he was spoilt by his mother. Although fiction, the scene in The Crown where the Queen says that she had Andrew in order to make up for her failings with Charles is probably close to the truth. Andrew, it seems, was not taught the basic skills to become a decent human being, and we probably all know someone like him. Another problem was that he did not have the support and guidance of a strong wife. As close as they still are, Sarah was not the best person for Andrew. Instead of guiding him along a better path, she took full advantage of the dodgy path that he was already on.
Unfortunately for him, Harry has followed the same path as Andrew, with one big difference. Andrew has been an embarrassment, but Harry has been vicious. His attacks on his family, especially the Queen, are unforgivable. Andrew has shown some sense in keeping his head down since that interview. Harry shows no sense at all, and if he did decide to return to the UK, I think he will struggle to regain his place within his family. People tend to forgive a teenager/twenty-something, but he is no longer that. The public will be unlikely to give Harry the benefit of the doubt if he returns.
I am so glad that I am not part of that dysfunctional family - my own is bad enough, but at least it is of no interest to the media.

Charles is finding out the hard way that ""slimming the MOnarchy "" is turning into a disaster.....BEFORE the Queen died, there were over 100 charities waiting for a Royal patron. UK police security for Royal Lodge is paid for directly out of KC3's personal funds and not the taxpayer and it appears KC3 and everyone in the UK never want to see Whiney 'Arry ever again. The responsible thing as custodian of the Crown Estates properties is for KC3 to fix up Royal Lodge, void Baby Andy's lease for non-performance and re-let it to a responsible lessee who can maintain the property - like a diplomat. "Arry & Baby Andy should be re-homed to Sandringham out of public view to muck out some stalls or do some farming if they can be trusted not to harm the animals. it is a nice way to pay the bills so that we the taxpayers get a break...at the moment they cost us less than one pound per year.

As a former committed 'Elizabethan' Australian, when are we going to ask the LARGER questions?.... Who really needs this extended family of hangers-on? Why do we have a king that lied about his intention to have his wife styled HRH The Duchess of Cornwall (and then later QUEEN CONSORT!!!... a Style denied to his own father!!!)
Personally, I'm tired of the endless drama, the ironed shoe laces, the travelling bedroom, the unsavory (paid off) allegations and the public bitchiness!!! Enough is enough from the House of Windgors!

Instead of a continuing, frustrating dialogue between the King and Andrew, why doesn't the King simply move other people into the Royal Lodge? The message will be if Andrew does not want to move out, he will have to share the Lodge with other people and/or families.
My guess is if the King does this, Frogmore Cottage might begin to look more appealing to Andrew.
No point in continuing to swim upstream. If you can't beat them, join them!
