- Hi all! Here are my thoughts on Germany's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023! We have Lord of the Lost and their song, 'Blood & Glitter'. This was such a fun song! I think this one will really get the crowd going!

It's a dream come true to see my favourite band,my biggest passion and love in life,going to Eurovision!🩸🖤✨️Thank you so much for your lovely reaction!🫶So many of us Losties have been working so hard and sacrificed everything for winning this national final of Germany TOGETHER - and this is what makes it special: This wonderful band and their fans are ONE,united by being kindred spirits and sharing the same passion for something that is so much more to us than just "music". LORD OF THE LOST are together as a band since 2009,so they're already an experienced live band who played countless festivals and tours all over the world,and they originally emerged from the German Gothic- and Metal-scene!🖤✨️ Even the metal legends IRON MAIDEN chose LOTL to go on tour together with them,which is another proof for the thrilling quality the guys deliver - and this year they were chosen to go on tour with Iron Maiden again! Lord of the Lost's genre can't be described with words,as they have always been known for reinventing themselves on every new album - but their magical soundscapes often include Dark Rock and Dark Metal,Synth,80's vibes,Goth and a flamboyant Glam attitude! They're able to set heaviness and catchiness to music,but at times emphasize melancholy and emotive depth a lot. Singer Chris Harms is known for his outstanding vocal range that enables him to deliver both haunting clean vocals AND obliterating growls,and you would be mesmerized to see the variety in all of their songs! Beyond that,Lord of the Lost have always said that EMPATHY is their religion - this is why the guys always speak up against grievances in society and helped people in need countless times. Just recently they took a stupid hate comment from someone who wanted to spread negativity online,and printed it on a new merchandise collection - and you know what? All money they earn with this collection will be donated to an organization that works on the reforestation of the rain forest! These five guys are just the most lovely,humble and caring human beings,and they deserve ANY success in this world and all love they can get from the Eurovision fans!💕✨️ "Blood & Glitter" is an irresistibly catchy anthem of life and equality,telling us to embrace the contrasts within ourselves rather than denying who we are,and emphasizing that unity should be our purpose instead of hate and seclusion: "We are all from the same blood". Now we as the Losties will give our hearts and souls to achieve a great Eurovision result together with them,and I'm sure outstandingly creative musicians like them deserve the TOP 10 - especially because they will enhance the staging once more for Liverpool! Their music might be dark and enigmatic,but the message behind all of this is pure love - I'd absolutely recommend you to listen to other of their songs such as "Morgana", "Raining Stars", "Black Halo", "For They Know Not What They Do" and "Priest",as they usually blow away all people who delve into their back catalogue. Thank you so much again and let's enjoy Eurovision 2023 to the fullest!✨️🖤🩸

I discovered them in 2013/2014 and absolutely adore them. They are somwehere between metal/dark rock/gothic/glam/wave and pop. They have a huge variety in their style and every album is different. The song is from their latest album "Blood and Glitter" which was inspired by a photobook with the same title by photographer Mick Rock, who took nearly every famous picture of David Bowie and Freddy Mercury for example back in the 70's.
They have a lot of expirience on stage and even got to support Iron Maiden on their tour last year and were asked to do so again this summer 😊
They are such nice and kind people, living the message they try to convey as a band (equality, diversity, tollerance, compassion).
The song itself is about embracing life to the fullest as well as the often very contradicting aspects of ourselves and just be who we want to be. That we all share the same very essence (blood) but are still unique in our own wishes and what we portray to the world (glitter).
They did an accustic version of this song and their song "One last song" for "Eurovision... a little bit more" and I think you would very much enjoy those songs.
And for his vocal range, this is 100% his natural range 😊

Love Lord of the Lost they've a huge fanbase world wide, I'll be seeing them twice when they come to the UK in September, check out a song by them called Priest, it will give you goose bumps and shivers down your back...
It's nice to see Germany actually go for a rock performance this time. We would have done so much better last year if we had gone with electric callboy

Well, i am not superthrilled but at least better than the other crap what we sent normally to the ESC. :D
Generally speaking, I try to keep quiet if I don't have anything nice to say, but I must admit that I don't like this. I guess it's not them specifically but this genre that I find very odd, and not in a good way. I'm happy for them that they have so many devoted fans.
Have you checked out electric callboys entry last year? They auditioned for Eurovision last year for Germany and would have been amazing. Also heavy but in a better way than this^^ you can't not like it haha
Quite funny. The whole internet seems to love this song. Every reaction is positive. But last place for Germany. Again! We Germans are very good in sending shitsongs to ESC. Our bad places are well deserved, mostly. But this year is a mess. It's a sign. Germany should stop paying a single euro for this show. Germany shouldn't compete any longer. Last place for a bad song, ok. Last place for a good catchy number, impudence.
I see a bottom five again for Germany, not because is bad but it not that great in general.
I don't think it will be bottom 5 and I don't think it deserves bottom 5 .
@@momusicx872 … Lord on the Lost kann ja wohl nicht schlecht sein,denn sie sind die Vorband bei Iron Maiden. Waren sie vorher schon und dieses Jahr wieder. Iron Maiden würde sie nicht nochmal auswählen,wenn lotl schlecht wären. Beim ESC geht es nicht um Musik,oft politisch bewertet. Eigentlich immer eine Farce.
