Criston Cole was supposed to be guarding Helaena and the children. But he was sinning with Alicent.
He is never at his post! That’s how Aemond lost his eye! He was probably taking Allicent to pound town back then.

Olivia Cooke mentioned in an interview that when Aemond lost his eye they filmed a sex scene between Alicent and and crispy cole but it didn’t make the final cut. Plus there was a subtle nod to their relationship when Alicent used his emotions for her to find Aegon in s1 when she mentions his feelings for her

Okay, I have a theory.. The reason that the Greens cannot recognize Haelena talent is because theya re not true Targaryens. Here me out. They were not raised with the Targaryen lore like Rhanerya, Daemon, and Viserys was. Viserys never paid attention to his children with Alicent and Rhaneyra and Daemon were never around them. Since the Greens were really cut off from alot of their Targaryen heritage, I think this is why they missed that Haelana is a dreamer which could have been crucial to their victory against Rhaenrya.
I don’t agree, I just think they do not acknowledge her because she is speaking in riddles. Unlike Viserys, she never clearly says I dreamed of this or that. In this episode she only says she is scared of the rats…no one can understand what she means. I also think she herself doesn’t understand her own visions, as they appear to be more symbolic than showing exactly what is going to happen

I think Larys knows already. If he talked to Alicent's handmaidens, the way he looked at her and Alicent looked away. He knows. He's holding on to it until it's advantageous to him.

This episode was too dark throughout. I like it when they have lighthearted moments and give me hope, only to rip my heart out at the end of the episode. This one was dark from start to finish.

In the novel, he doesn't kill his 1st wife or slap Rhaenyra around or any of the horrible things they have him doing in the show. It's all a stupid show invention. And I hate it, to be honest. He didn't tell Blood & Cheese to murder Helena's little boy either. They were just stupid & panicked. He told them to kill Aemon One Eye... who absolutely deserved it, trust me.
He killed Rhaenyra's son on purpose in the story! It wasn't no accident! He even went back home & BRAGGED about it. But the show gave him a pass, and made it look like his dragon wasn't behaving. lol There's so much ya'll don't really know about these characters, cuz you're only familiar w/the show & that's it. But Daemon is NOT the worst character, at all. Aegon is the worst. He's a drunk, rapey lunatic. You haven't even seen the worst out of him yet.

I think ser crispy Cole dismissed them so he could be alone with alicent. But even so, it’s weird that haelana has been queen for a bit now and still doesn’t have a sworn protector. Crispy should have been haelanas protector (since she’s the actual queen now) or at LEAST ASSIGN SOMEONE!!!!!

They were always going to fight Rhanyera for the throne regardless, because they don't want a woman to rule, and because THEY want the power. Simple as that. Using her boy's parentage is just an excuse to steal the throne from her. They are vile usuerpers... and Aegon & Aemon One Eye are total psychopaths.
