St. Louis Cardinal fan here-- our city loved watching Matt play baseball, but we also loved him because he was genuine and gave back to our community. Really enjoyed listening to him talk about what he is doing now and not suprising at all that he and his wife are still helping others. Great interview. St. Louis misses you Matt!💛 Best of luck to you both.
Great episode guys! My husband played in the minors for the first 3 years of our relationship so I could relate to a lot of this. The transition period is SO tough… but my husband now coaches high school baseball and also found a new love of golf. It takes time, but you find a new rhythm. We just had our first daughter and we wouldn’t want it any other way! ❤️
From SE Missouri….glad to meet the Holliday’s on a more personal level. Always admired Matt and now admire Leslee! Kudos to you two for choosing the most humble guests for your show! Much ❤️!
I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals and I enjoyed watching Matt Holiday play for the Cardinals and help them win a World Series!!! This was an amazing podcast and I Iove the impact that Matt Holiday had in St. Louis!!!
This was your best couple things yet. Of course being a cardinals fan may have helped . Matt and his beautiful wife are an inspiration to all of us Christians . May God continue to richly bless you .
LOVE Matt, yes he was an exceptional athlete. I however, love him for the way he carries himself. As a fan, it was wonderful to see him play well, but I would have enjoyed throwing darts with he and his family! Just a couple that, from what I saw, were ALWAYS there for each other and family.
This was a great episode of Couple Things. Learning how to help each other through identity shifts is something I never thought about but now recognize that my husband and I have been through many-leaving Army active duty was a really difficult one for both of us. Like Matt talked about closeness with his team, the same is true in the military. We have never felt that closeness in civilian life. Regular life has those shifts too though, especially as your children are in different stages of growth. Looking forward to hearing you both on Table 40. 🙂
