It's been three years since Kobra And The Lotus' last studio album 'High Preistess' was released back in 2014. The time since has not been wasted, with their third album under their belt, and completing multiple tours worldwide (with the likes of Kamelot, Sonata Arctica and Demon Hunter to name a few), their path of self-discovery has led them to this most important moment in their career. 'Prevail I", the band's latest offering, is a rock juggernaut full of blistering guitars, pounding rhythms and haunting vocal melodies that will take the listener on a sonic journey leading them out from the darkness and into the light. Produced by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica etc) and mastered by Grammy award winning Ted Jensen, and featuring the soon to be classic songs “You Don’t Know” and “Light Me Up” that will undoubtedly usher the band to much deserved elevated hard rock status. But still l know God knows what he is doing in our lives . Not just wishful thinking but power ,clarity and authority. GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING, I'm not afraid! 😊
It's a beautiful song, i just wish more people had someone pulling for them like this. It's not easy to walk alone, being strong for others, only to leave your cup empty for yourself.
This song has been a frequent listen since I lost my father over the summer. A great reminder of the people who helped and are still helping me to get through that gut punch.

I got to meet her 5 years ago on my 40th birthday. Kobra hung out with myself and a couple of people I met that night. I got to tell her how much the song meant to me.

As a person who has also suffered from depression and been in a relationship with a person suffering from depression I feel this song describes the situation very well.
This was the first song I heard by Kobra and the Lotus, within the first 30 seconds I was in love. So much talent. She has a phenomenal voice, I can't stop listening to them. My goodness this band is incredible.
Living in the darkness is draining but songs like this bring me back to the light, if only for a little while.

One of my favorite bands Kobra's voice is beautiful.
I have never heard such precise operatic vocals. I'm loving every track. This lead singer is the undisputed Queen of the metal ballad. She is able to communicate emotion through each song. I have heard a lot of metal ( which I love) and a lot of good lead vocals, but she I would describe as ultimate and epic. What a beautiful voice! Unfortunately, so good, that once your done with a track, you're like "well, I just listened to the greatest song ever, nothin left to look forward to " Napalm has a winner here...

I am a big fan of KATL and this song is beautiful and the video is powerful. Its release couldn't have come at a better time than now as unfortunately we lost a great musician yesterday to suicide. I think it has made more people aware of the battle people can have with mental health and depression. Great job to all involved.

I was bullied years ago because I was different (autism) no one ever helped me, and it went the same way as this boy in this song, so it was hard for me, but at the last moment I figured out this kind of music and it saved my life !!! Because of that I talked about people what was wrong with me and they finally understood me and helped me!!!!

No idea if you will ever see this. THANKS for the song and video. Last 2 years almost impossible to get through. Health issues. Then had my home taken from me last year. Some of the lyrcis just nail it. How you feel when your down. At times only dark thoughts come in. When I can, plan to get this album and support the group. WELL DONE and thank you. Have played this a lot last few weeks.

This song wrenches on me so much. That little boy was me for so long. I found refuge in music and my toys. I felt empty and so alone. That feeling creeps in from time to time. I'm so thankful for this song to remind me of what used to be for me, but children still go through this. My faith in God and my grandparents helped hold it together. I pray this band catapults into the stars and last for a very long time.

I feel like it’s the story of a mother trying to reach her son from the other side, having passed on and leaving him behind with his alcoholic and abusive father (and either a step mother or his father’s girlfriend). The boy gets bullied at school and feels completely alone, and the mother is able to reach him by taking the form of a child to keep him from jumping in that last scene.

Saw you in Dallas after the power went out. Performing this song at the side of the stage, lit up by cell phone flashlights and lightening in the sky all around us was so surreal. Never heard of you before,but a definitely a fan now!
First time heard of Kobra and the lotus was in 2013 if remember correctly in Latvia in "Metal allstars concert", since then it is one of my favourite rock/metal bands and bands in general

I struggle with depression everyday, giving up and taking your own life is never the way, look deep inside and find the reason to live. After my brother died I wanted to take my life, but I couldn't because I have all my friends and family to live for. I have so many reasons why I stay, and those outweigh any reason to leave this world.
