@@TilakMichael are u sure anybody other than kamal would have taken the risk to shoot this movie? also the director himself said kamal was part of story discussions when only the initial line was said by the director and kamal was the one who went with the director for choosing the location and he was the one who chose this unexplored cave which has now bcome the landmark...i never said all credit shld go to kamal but when u compare with current generation heroes or even the heroes during his times, kamal was way ahead of anyone...
@@Hiddengem13 He is a brilliant actor, no doubt but every time he acts, I see more of Kamal. In Papanasm, I could see Kamal but Drishyam I never saw Mohanlal that is the difference. Yes he is ahead of time because no one sees English movies in his time

Nammala suthi neraiya story, inspirations, nostalgic from good old movies irukku but Tamil Cinema is repeating useless scripts with caste, drugs, corporates and politics. Exceptions are Chittha, Parking, Kadaisi Vivasayi, Ayothi over the last few years. A single theme can create powerful movies e.g. love , friendship, and humanity. Manjummel Boys is themed with friendship which no one had talked about for years.
Guna was more expected movie. I got disappoint movie on that time. Songs are very super.
It only means you were not mature when you saw the movie. It was way ahead of its time.

Dear Tamil film directors, please do not keep item songs for 72 years old actor. All Films are in template format. Nowadays, all Tamil audiences are watching international movies via OTT. So their expectations are elevated very much. Tamil directors need to learn from Malayalam industry.
Only 3 concepts make 75% of tamil movies past few years:
1) caste Oppression / Suppression
2) Drugs and Guns
3) Cringe horrors and cringe commercials
Few exceptions like Kadaisi vivasayi, Ayothi, Maanadu, Thunivu, Jigar xx, PS1, soorarai potru, Parking (to an extent) which gave a good experience with different theme.
