  • In todays video I'm going to create new beautiful metal art out of motel metal. Metal casting is a wonderful way to create something new. It is fairly simple, and doesn't take much to get started. You can create practically anything that you can think of. Just put your mind to work.

Great job as usual! Amazing how those 3 slanted foam pieces don't need gluing together

Thank you! Yeah the sand holds it in place. As long as foam is sticking out the top of the sand it will burn it out. 👍

Thanks!! I have lots of metal melting videos to come. Yeah I have tons of that green house left to melt...

I think that the alloy used for the extruded green house frame is likely in the 3000 series.
Casting aluminium contains something like 7 - 10 silica which makes the aluminium flow better.
However those results are VERY impressive!

Yes I would agree it is somewhere in the 3000 series. I agree it doesn't flow very well like a356 aluminum. 3000 series isn't great for green sand casting. However with lost foam, I don't think the flow matters. It is just burning the foam and taking it's shape. Thanks for watching!
