They really are great isopods, I also see them a lot during the day. And even after a long time they are interesting to look at. I have them in a set up with my Achatina achatina Nigeria albino giant land snails and they doing great, despite the high humidity😎
They are far more tolerant of conditions than most will give them credit for.Isopods we still have years worth of work to learn from these diminutive workhorses
Hi.. I've been followed you for a while,, but i'm not subscribe yet but don't worry i'll do it later #lol 🤣. Btw,, I want to asked one thing,, what will happen if I mix more than 1 such as Orange isopod and zebra isopod?? Funny things that here,, in my country Indonesia the prices of zebra isopod or even duck isopod it's quiet expensive so i don't have them except Orange isopod,, blue isopod,, and nanus (I forgot the full name 😂).. I do tried to make a culture for the isopod that I can easily finds like I told before but their crash and from your content I think I knew why was that happen.. So,, this year I decided to make a new culture with springtails too.. I hope you can answer my question bro hehe
Sorry for the delayed response, some days they get out of control. Isopods from the same genera possibly could interbreed but the zebras being Armadillidium maculatum versus the orange which could be either Porcellio laevis or Porcellionides pruinosus (powder orange) won’t be able to inter breed
@@themadaquaristsrealmnatura2556 what ?? so their could be inter breed even tho' their from another species ?? wow !! it's something new for me.. well,, so is it okay then long as their in same species,, right ?? thx you so much.. even tho' my culture again and again and again had a crash #lol 🤣
So far the zebra isopods are the only species I've managed to keep alive, so I think that qualifies as beginner friendly.
lol very true, Thanks for sharing
I love my zebras.
They will always be a classic species, hard to beat
