Nostalgia-Ween came early this year.
Review The Simpsons Movie please.
Some say it's a rejected fnaf script and I got a feeling it's the single mom one.
Imagine showing this to your kids, thinking it was just another modern adaption (i.e. Scooby Doo, Alvin and the Chipmunks, etc.) only to be proven horribly, HORRIBLY wrong.
That would be funny
Oh I'm sure there will be several babysitters and busy parents picking this movie on streaming based on title and thumbnail.
They'd be like people who thought Conker's Bad Fur Day was for kids and learned to pay more attention to the cover.
And it's somehow the least horrific!
I mean, on title alone sure, but if they're able to see the promotional image, it includes Bingo holding an ax.
The reason Snorky practically says nothing is because in the original show, Snorky was a silent character to begin with. Unlike the other Banana Splits, Snorky communicates through honks though the others can understand him just fine.
The fact that the same person who voices every robot in this movie also voices Daffy Duck is amazing
Eric Bauza also Replaced Billy West as Stimpy in The 2003 Adult Party Cartoon
Well I suppose that in this movie instead of it either being rabbit season or duck season it's human season.
Excuse me? XD Wow.
Eric also replaced Billy as Elmer Fudd in Space Jam A New Legacy.
He also voiced a lot of characters in Ben 10
So, when he said "here's a 90s commercial", he put an ad break right there. My ad was for Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 & 2... What sorcery is this?

My dad refused to even watch the trailer for this movie, having watched the original show a lot when he was a kid.
Understandable.
I watched reruns of Banana Splits as a kid. The trailer really pissed me off.
Heck, both my parents watched the show growing up and they LOVED the movie.
I, too, watched the show as a kid and I'm kind of curious yet uneasy about seeing the movie. I even put off seeing this review for quite a while, but I just had to find out what Critic thought of it.
Interesting
Interesting fact: When the trailer for this film came out people speculated that the script used to make it was originally for the scraped fnaf movie.
At this point if they want to make a fnaf movie they better get off the asses and do it. Any longer and horror animatronics will be a dead idea. They’ve already passed their hayday and now we have two animatronic movies that got made first.
@Spoods Noodle Doodles Willy’s Wonderland starring Nicolas Cage
@@rhaeasoul8531 Filming was confirmed to be starting in early 2021 as Scott FINALLY got a script and screenplay he actually liked, after it being canned twice already, once in 2016 and once in 2019. (The older of these two is believed to have been altered into the Banana Splits Film)
Of course, now Scott quit FNAF due to Twitter finding out he was Republican, so there's a decent chance it got killed off for good, but the script he liked was already done and filming apparently was already underway, so it'll probably still come out in 2023 or so
Too bad for them. Reminds me of gobots vs transformers back in 1990 something; the original idea took way too long and guess what swooped in and took its place? As I said fnaf is way past it’s prime by now and not one but 2 different direct competition movies got made and released first.
@@rhaeasoul8531 it’s dead. The only way a FNAF movie would work is to wait literally another 20-30 years before it’ll be some ideal of nostalgic enough to spark a resurgence.
I’m gonna be 100% honest right now I forgot Freakshow Cinema was a thing but I’m glad to see it returning. It’s a fun series.
"she runs over the cheating stepdad"
Ok roll back a minute, what cheating stepdad? You missed a step there...
The kid who dragged his "friend" and brother along had a cheating stepdad.

When the boy says Snorky will always be his favorite, the way he falls back is funny, like he thought to himself, "Oh no! Not this kid!"
Just think, THIS was going to be the FNAF Movie before Scott said "fuck that"
That was a huge bullet Scott dodged, but for the better
Ya/no.
It was way more him getting fed up with it being stuck in development hell.
And to be totally honest. Scott made the right call, there was no way it was going to come out anytime soon and or be good.
ikr it would.
If Scott used this plot the film would have flopped
Fnaf was never about gore.
Whoever made this movie clearly has issues. It's like a Robot Chicken sketch they decided to give special treatment.

I grew up watching the Banana Splits. This was funny as hell.
You know all of the Banana Splits are voiced by one person who does an amazing job but it can be kind of hard.
FF: Warner were tasked by Scott to make the FNAF movie, but they never could settle on an script so Scott left them for Blumhouse Productions. Then a year later this movie comes out and... well if this movie is anything to go by I GLAD Scott ditched them!
he made the right choice.
FF? Future Farmers?
@@therandomarchive2183 fun fact, I assume.
I didn't know Warner Bros had a Final Fantasy division
From what I've heard on various horror youtube channels, the Banana Splits Movie is made from the script for the FNAF movie. Allegedly, Cawthon read the script and cancelled the deal with WB very quickly. Supposedly, WB then scrambled to find the first IP they could that would fit the film, and adapted the script to it.
I say all of this as allegedly and supposedly, simply because I haven't seen any hard evidence of this, but I've heard it across multiple youtube channels, so... *shrugs* I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case.
But the fun part is, if you're familiar with the FNAF series, you can see exactly how someone who doesn't understand the series could write this movie, and even recognize certain characters and how they were trying to work it into the script. If this genuinely was made to be a FNAF film, any FNAF fan can easily recognize how someone who doesn't understand the series could portray it in this way.
As someone who actually watched (and enjoyed) the Banana Splits show when I was a kid, I found this on DVD at a Walmart a few years ago and honestly didn't know what to make of it. I'm more amazed anyone else remembered the show than anything I saw in the actual movie

So Okay, It's Average: Currently holds a 5.0 on IMDB. Generally, it's agreed that the movie is fine, with some pretty good effects on both the animatronics and the gore, but the plot is weak and the characters are very flimsy. It's pretty much your run-of-the-mill horror movie, with the only thing making it stand out from the crowd being the source material.
If they want to read it for themselves they can.

Fuck it 3 was still somewhat enjoyable but 4&5 are just bad. Like really bad. 5 using the phrase "Its gangster" was enough to kill the franchise in my opinion.
@@PowerRangersLostGalaxyFanFilm yeah with kind of meteor and science bullshit and annoying character
What happened to the humans in the Ice Age Era???????
9:11 For a brief moment. I thought he was dressed like Steve Buchemi from “how do you do fellow kids” and that would have been gold.
The rumors that I heard about this movie was that it was suppose to be a FNAF movie, but Scott the games creator didn’t like the script and network interference. So he pulled the rights to use his characters. With WB having spent so much money on it already they had to make something quick to replace them.
The Banana Splits: Your granddad's Five Nights at Freddy's before the invention of video games.
OH YES!!!! Next time, Willy's Wonderland!! please!
YES PLEASE!!!
He's gonna have to do the reenactment then since CZcams copyright strikes anyone who shows footage
“Remember Kids, the fun never ends”
Yes, that would be awesome!
But willys wonderland is an original movie. The banana splits are from the 60’s and 70’s. Therefore nostalgia.
Huh, I was NOT expecting him to review this movie. If he did this, I wouldn’t mind seeing a review for Willy’s Wonderland. When it comes to what I think about the film (though I haven’t actually watched it because I’m not a fan of getting scared, though I’ve seen some clips), I think it’s just kinda weird. It’s like making a horror film about Sesame Street. The nice thing though is that it made people aware of the splits again. They even made funko pops of them. My only memory of them is a few shorts from the reboot on Cartoon Network from a scooby doo dvd I watched when I was younger.
Maybe he’s saving it for the next CAAAAAGE MOOOOONTH
to be fair, a horror movie about sesame street has the potential to be horrifying depending on how they do it.
@@candlestone5397 True.
I mean, the Banana Splits _are_ a nostalgic property. It's on brand at least.
I would love to see the Critic review more horror films.
According to what I've heard in a few places; This movie is based on rejected scripts for the in-development FNAF movie
I’m shocked that there was not a single mention of Bowie’s tralala from labyrinth
Well, the theme song did actually influence the song Buffalo Soldiers.
Marley watched the show beamed from Miami, and incorporated it.
When my friends saw it for the first time, they kept laughing at the ending where the cheating husband was killed. It was actually quite disturbing!
My favorite movie is Garfield Gets Real, and I think one of the reasons is the same as what was described at 15:46.
Going into it, I thought it was just gonna be a typical mindless kids comedy. But it ended up having a premise that's very fascinating to me, with a ton of world building, some emotional moments, and a very intense action scene at the end. I also love the sequels, Garfield's Fun Fest and Garfield's Pet Force.
This is a very unpopular opinion; most people hate those movies. Which makes me think the only way to enjoy it is to experience it in the exact same way that I did, which is very specific and unlikely to happen.
1968: Our fun begins
1972: Our trip to Hocus Pocus Park
2002: We've gots a magic machine
2008: We're back with a reboot.
2018: Our 50th Anniversary
2019: WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO US SYFY????!!!!!
Thought this film would be reviewed for Nostalgia-ween.
I know I did not know that
Honestly who's idea was this?! It's like making the Archie comics dark, wait.. that actually happened (in all honesty I recommend the Afterlife with Archie comics, and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina comics they're actually really awesome)
Honesty, I found them disappointing. I really thought dark Sabrina would have some twisted fun in it...it was really stock...
It was supposed to be a 5NAF movie initially
Do you mean Archie’s Weird Mysteries? It was actually my introduction to Archie and I loved it as a kid, even if you realize it’s a very obvious Scooby Doo rip-off once you’re older
@@jinhunterslay1638 no, i think they’re talking about an archie horror comic that was made recently... jughead becomes a werewolf, every one dies its gory and weird but kind of fun (it was actually my introduction to Archie comics tbh 😅)
@@jinhunterslay1638 Now Archie's weird Mysteries was damn cool ! I don't see the Scooby-doo comparison cus the alien and occult threats were pretty real in that show rather than old coots in costumes. And I really did not know anything about Archie prior to that show ! Turns out that show was vastly superior to the source material..
The fact that the banana splits were voiced by the same guy who did Woody Woodpecker makes a whole lot of sense.
@channelawsome you guys are WAAY to good at the sponsor spots, how do you do it?
So instead of making a mediocre Five Nights At Freddy's movies, they decided to ruin a Hannah Barbara semi classic?
Well thats not gonna happen since WB didn't move along with the plans for the FNAF. Now, it's stuck in Development Hell over at Universal and Blumhouse. Personally think a FNAF movie will not happen anytime soon
Both options are dumb. The Banana Splits was never apart of my childhood and I hate FNAF
🎶 "I want to be a Producerrrr" 🎶
"Semi Classic"
No bro... Not even close.
@@darthcinema4262 that not 'dumb' if you don't like it
Oh God. I remember back in the day, Boomerang would ALWAYS play the theme song for this show during the commercial breaks. It's been permanently etched into my brain
my entire thoughts on this movie's premise can be summed up with one jontron meme "I have several questions", seriously though knowing of the original show's existence, when I saw the kill count by dead meat for this movie in my recommended I honestly thought it was a joke how I was wrong
This is so oddly timed with the “Jellystone!” show reveal.
Horror movies about animatronics are like a car crash to me
Horrifying and, yet, I can’t look away even though I have Automatonophobia
It's becoming a genre in on itself.
Oh my gosh yes. I feel the same way
You're afraid of tomatoes?
@@KBlackz3 Yes
Wait is that what it's really called?
This was going to be a Hanna Barbera Beyond comic!
There’s nothing showing that she changed her mind… she’s 9? It’s kind of like they change their minds every 5 seconds.
That Debatable.
On the minute 13:05 the little actress cannot refrain herself from laughing :D
Fun fact: the script was just the warner brothers of fnaf movie but since blumhouse has the rights for scott cawthon of fnaf freinchies they changed the fnaf Characters with splits becuse the splits where creppy but should warner be original
And if it was a fnaf movie... yeah no not even close to the energy it should have had
The funny thing is that it WAS supposed to be a FNAF Movie. Somewhere down the line, Cawthon moved on to Blumhouse. As a result, Warner Bros.... made this. 😅
Warner Bros. is still distributing the movie. Scott's retired now as well...
And by "Unfortunately" I hope you mean "luckily"
I remember the Banana Split show when it features about 6 cartoons from the Hanna-Barbera camp. Adam Ant. Precious Pup. The Hillbilly Bears. Secret Squirrel. Squiddly Sqidd. And Winsome Witch, and if I'm not mistaken Space Ghost was in that weekday line up.
The transition to the commercial truly a great line.
Move over Five nights at Freddy's, these are the real animatronic nightmares ;)
Norbit,Sonic the Hedgehog,Birds of Prey,Mortal Kombat Legends Scorpion's Revenge,Mortal Kombat 2021,Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron,and Willy's Wonderland please.
You mention a 'Saved by the Bell' slasher, but 'Boy Meets World' kind of already did that...
And the music video for New Romance by Miles Fisher
14:03 Love how it cuts from murder to super happy field of flower with the caption saying “can’t show because CZcams sucks”
I had no idea this was a thing, and probably for the best.
Same
@Luis Medina sames
Fun fact: this script WAS supposed to be the script for the fnaf movie but sadly Scott denied the script
Gotta watch Dead Meat
I’ve watched this before anyone reviewed it……which is a first
For something that was supposed to be the original fnaf movie, I’m glad that FNAF movie didn’t turn out like this
But I love this film for how they made these innocent child icons into mass murdering machines from the pits of hell!!
This is the first R-rated movie adaptation of a Hanna-Barbera or Sid and Marty Krofft property.
Based loosely on the TV show The Banana Splits Adventure Hour (1968), except the show had no killing; at least, not on screen.
Bill Farmer, Frank Welker, and Carlos Alazraqui were originally meant to reprise their roles as their respective Banana Splits from the 2008 TV show that aired on Cartoon Network, but were eventually replaced with Eric Bauza.
In the original show and 2008 reboot, Fleegle usually wears shoes and Bingo went barefoot. In this movie, Fleegle is barefoot and Bingo wears shoes. It's never been established why for the switch of footwear.
BODY COUNT: 27 (8 male characters, 1 female character, 18 unnamed extras)
Having The Banana Splits be killer robots is still nutty and Bizzare.........but maybe in a good way.
