Thank you for uploading this. I get like a kid on Christmas morning whenever I can find some clips on Ms. Ellis sangin' solo. They're so hard to find. But on another note. You get a LIVE--- I repeat--- LIVE performance like that & all you can offer the artist is a "Thanks, Terry that was great on to the commercial" (oviously implied by his tone. Even if he had just said "Wow." That would've spoke volumes more than the 5 or so words he said. Plus, after a performance like that, what else can you say??
Sylvia Rhone bet on the wrong horse. Dawn is who she should have put out solo first. She had the edge that fit into the R&B fusion of hip hop that was popular at the time. Terry's album was safe and easy listening. I undertsand why it flopped much like Vanessa Williams' Sweetest Days that had a similar feel. Beautiful music but not for major consumption at the time. The Comfort Zone was such a kick ass album to follow up with elevator music boggles my mind.
