is this and any other model ok to have in a car in freezing weather? i split a sub one day in my car because the material was brittle do to the cold, tough lesson learned....how does the screen react to temps in the teens?

Is the AUX In Cable a proprietary cable or a standard AUX A/V Cable? Is it one of those RCA cables with Red White and Yellow RCA plugs and does it just hang down from the bottom of the radio or does the installer drill a hole somewhere in your cars dash to install the A/V port?
This review is for a 2014 year model. I just got a 2017 & many items are different. Might you update it and actually demo how to use the features?

Can anyone help me, I must of accidentally changed a setting or hit a button, Now all my Action Buttons (Play, Stop, Pause) stay on the screen AT ALL TIMES when my music is playing, I Used to have to tap the screen for the (Play, Pause, Next) buttons for to pop up on the screen, I've tried every setting I can find, If you have any ideas I'd Really Appreciate It, TY
Anyone know a fix for no audio? It worked fine yesterday and today I'm getting zero audio. Not even through FM nor Bluetooth nor menu beeps. Very strange. All the wiring is fine and I didn't change any settings. Factory reset and no changes. I'm stumped.

Great job. I know the radio will not let you play dvds while driving; but can you play a cd while driving. Also what is the most likely longevity of this these units ,hopefully 4 or 5 years. How will these units handle very hot and cold weather.
rickey b butler Thank you. I believe it could last several years. I am sure if you keep good care of the radio, dusting it off and making sure the windows are up on days it suddenly rains, it should last you a while.
There is a way to bypass so it will play dvds will you are driving

I love reviews, but did not find this very helpful, sorry to say. It would be helpful to have the necessary items to plug into it, so we can really see how it works. Stating what it would do if you had the necessary sources really doesn't help. The problem is without that, we can not tell how long does it take to load information from radio signals or an iPod, how smooth it operates, etc. I hear Kenwood has issues with lag time, but we are not able to see this as the review just doesn't show enough detail. Not trying to be a jerk, just trying to offer a few suggestions.

Carl Morley Hello, so far what I can come up with is if you have a Iphone 4/4s you can get the kca-ip202 cable the one with the 30 pin adapter and then you can go to the app store and purchase the garmin nav app like $50 or use Waze for navigation.If you have new iphone, no android, like 5/5s/5c you can use the lightening adapter, but you will only have audio only no video. but no gps on the radio unfornuately.

alot of people can navigate without gps. GPS is pointless most of the time
why pay for gps? an extra 400 dollar's when you can use Youre phone?
There are these cool things called smart phones that usually have superior navigation apps.

My phones GPS is superior to any of tthose included with the radio. plus, this is a sub $300 radio, GPS would make it more expensive.
