I gotta say Charvel has really blown me away, I picked up a Pro-Mod Dk24 in Green a few years ago after wanting a superstrat for so long. The almost Guthrie-esque aesthetic and amazing playability makes it my go-to guitar for everything! I see them everywhere now in local guitar shops, really happy to see for such a cool brand. Subscribed!

A relic, oldie looking Charvel should have been with non recessed floyd and relic maple fretboard i guess. But its still looks sweet
Pao-Ferro fingerboard...big no-no!...if it had maple or ebony it would have been amazing!
Same. That kinda blows, even though the guitar looks incredible. Also, 1000 series FR is kinda crappy.
@@balmain2496 for the price…I would have expected good maple or nice dark ebony also a floyd 1500. It’s more expensvie than a regular charvel…
Yeah, it’s a shame that they really didn’t care enough to include decent hardware and fretboard. I can imagine the pots and wiring must be garbage as well. Could have been a good foundation to upgrade but too expensive for that. Hard pass
@@vladzubac5360 yeah, it’s a big L the more you look at it. I love relic guitars and this looks awesome but Pau Ferro, 1000FR already a deal breaker for me. Also, crappy foam case, no thanks.
I can get a real pro level guitar for that price (or less). It’s kinda mediocre.

does it come with rolled edge fingerboard?
It would be funny if the relic'd line was the one model that didn't have rolled edges. But yeah all Charvels do. But ime the San Dimas/SoCals are a bit less rolled than the DKs. But with an unfinished dark fretboard you can just drag a safety razor on the edges if you like. That's why if I order any non-Charvel, I only go with rosewood/ebony, so I can roundover bevel the edge and not even need to finish with wipe-on poly

it's so similar tbh, both use passive humbucker so by fiddling with eq you can get similar tone. The neck profile is similar and I think both have rolled edge fretboard but I don't know if the neck finish is different. the main difference is this has a humbucker neck pickup while EVH relic has the d-tuna floyd rose.
@@davelisapaly6750 didnt know about the Fr on evh Thanks i just know they Produce smth similar as they both owned by Fender 😅🤷. I think this sounds more pissed and the other more screamer at least for Videos as we dont have those where i Come from. 😅😅
Why does everyone hate on Pao-Ferro? I’d love for them to create a master built version of this to compete with the music man cutlass cause I like this way better. I wonder what it would sound like in a super low tuning.

I've always been a Charvel fan but since 2019 when JC Curliegh Restored the great legendary Epiphone in 2019 I really haven't been interested in any other brands and still not but that is a sweet looking Charvel
Next time you have a chance to try one of the new Charvels get them in your hand man! They are so much fun to play
