Great reaction! I swear, this should be titled "Where's Kevin", because everyone asks that. In the prior song, he was sitting in the middle of the stage playing cello. During the choral piece, he was offstage putting away the cello, and came back next to Scott for Aha!. It's too bad the person taking the video never panned back far enough to show the whole stage, because it's weird not being able to see all 5 of them. But he is going crazy beatboxing all through Aha!.
I love that this live performance was captured so beautifully . I only wish that the person videoing would have panned a little further past Scott to show Kevin in this clip. His beatboxing was so crazy good in this one!!!
This is considered by a lot of Pentaholics to be the group's best live performance. Mitch's energy is thru the roof (the reasons for this are well known to fans) and Avi literally blows out the speakers in the theater with his low notes! Avi's a natural basso profundo, so he can hit those notes with very little effort. I also suggest checking out the original official video as well, because the creativity in the video is off the charts.
OK. So... the deal with the “sound” of PTX live performances relies on the quality of the sound system & the acoustics of the location, both of which are unpredictable variables. Here it was a fan video but the lows of Avi and the highs of Mitch were unparalleled!! Word on the street was that Mitch had consumed a few Red Bull’s beforehand due to jet lag & his energy really showed! They “sing” with their hands too so in this case Mitch dropping to his knees was a reflection of his feeling the low notes he was singing. Also drama for the fan experience! It’s hard to appreciate a song whose words are hard to understand. I had to look up the lyrics so I could know what they were saying due to the muffled & blown out speaker. It’s got powerful lyrics about walking your talk & what happens if you get caught living a lie.
The Story behind Mitch going bat sh*t crazy is that he apparently had a really bad jet lag and bc he was exhausted he drank 2 red bulls back to back during the break which kicked in during this performance.

Its Ah-vi Avriel Benjamin Kaplan has been known to blow speakers. Mitch kills it. They are all amazing though. Kevin is there.
