Thank you so much for your videos and for adding the subtitles. I used to have a hard time understanding through your heavy accent. Now I can understand perfectly. Thank you again.
The last slave ship in the 1800s that tried to bring slaves into America after it was illegal to bring slaves from Africa was headed by Captain Latham. The British war ship that patrolled the illegal Atlantic Slave Trade chased and captured the ship but before they did the crew of Captain Latham tossed all the shackled slaves into the Atlantic Ocean to get rid of the evidence of transporting slaves illegally. A memorial was placed on the ocean bed for my people who were all tossed overboard holding hands in a circle. RIP to my ancestors who did not make it from Nigeria to America, I weep for you.
As an Igbo girl and my maternal home Akwa Ibom, my heart weeps and bleeds for everything my ancestors went through and for the mass suicide. May their souls rest in peace
Their soul will never rest
Because we have not yet revenge our forefathers, my heart bleed 🩸
Anytime I make a research of what there did to us.... Later there brought bible to us
And write ✍️ about forgiveness
Let us wake up and see the truth
I can only imagine the pain and suffering those our forefathers went through😞 those people must pay! 😡 All those years of suffering! That’s why I don’t pity them when they are scammed
Jon speaking dear
The high rate of yahoos in this computer era is much
And if you check well
They'll tell you is because of what they collected from us
They don't love us then and they don't love now and can never love us, we should stop following them they're not our God they're evil !
This is about the most foolish and yet common reason amongst some Africans or Nigerian. First of all,not all white folks were into slave trade, some fought against it but yet you don't feel sorry for what again. It's a dumb excuse to scam someone.
🥺🥺😞😭😢 seeing this make me very very sad n tears flows, our ancestors really suffered
Thank you so much for sharing this, we love need & appreciate all that you do. It is so important to show the world how beautiful the motherland is & learn about all of the different cultures & people. #REALCOURAGE #KNOWLEDGEOFSELF
I love the video well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I’m from Akwa Ibom and I am impressed by your story 😊
You are doing well brother. Thanks for refreshing our memories. May the soul of those brave men continues to rest in peace. The world is cruel!
This place is a historical place. It should be protected. This can be a huge economic attraction, especially for the black diaspora. And most important for our people not to ever forget.
You do amazing work young man! I learn so much from you! May God continue to bless you & your family. 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
Love your dedication. Well done 👏🏽
This is my state. It’s sad that the government don’t make this place known. There’s really a lot to learn about my state and a lot to study just like you said. It’s actually a lovely place for tourists. Thanks for making this video because I myself didn’t know things like this happened. 😂
African leaders are docile leaders when it comes to their own history, they have hidden their histories from their generations of Africans. If the generations of Africans had any lessons on what the colonizers had done to their foreparents the African countries would not so ACCOMODATING to whites and other foreigners! How free is Africa today from the same types of people who had colonized them? Not even your history is been taught in your schools in Nigeria? So your people are still BLIND to their history, your people still remain Docile, no knowledge of who they are, AND YOUR COLONAL ENEMY STILL PLUNDER THE AFRICAN COUNTRIES. NOTHING MUCH HAS CHANGE!! HISTORY HAS A WAY OF REPEATING ITSELF AND ITS SLOWLY COMING ALONG IN THE AFRICAN COUNTRIES. AFRICA IS A CONTINENT THAT LOVE ITS COLONIZERS, BOTH THE OLD ONES AND THE CHINESE ARE THE MODERN ONES!! Wake up! You all have been sleeping FAR TOO LONG!!!!
My goodness ty for sharing ❤❤❤ I have heard of them in the Atlantic but the other information was very intriguing to learn again ty so much for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
I think federal government should locate you or even ministry of education, so you can lead students of history subject in various secondary school, during excursion
Great idea! It's just that the leaders would prefer push tribalism et al among the Nigerian people 🤦🏾
I'm so grateful to you for sharing this history. So sad.
Only by the grace of God can we forgive.
But surely, what one sow, one shall reap!
💔

Thanks for your video. I loved it! I would like to find out more about Sir Udo Udoma, the first Nigerian leader of `Uganda. Please please please. I want to know more about this history.
Thank You for sharing. My grandparents were sharecroppers & great grandparents were slaves in Mississippi Delta. My heart aches, but the ancestors strength is Godly.
I kept telling people that slavery started over 400 years ago and continued until the 1800s hundreds. So less than two hundred years ago, they shipping people to the new world. I think I heard of Igbos commiting suicide in Jamaica, but many of them survived, including a young Igbo prince. His name was Anaeso, but they changed his name to Archibald Monteith. He wrote the first slave memoir in the Americas. It's a very sad, but interesting story.
Honey slavery has been around as long as people have been around. It's gone on for millenia and is still going on . Folks enslaved others that were weak.
I’m Afro-Romanian living in America now. This was very powerful. Thank you for showing me. I’m an activist and my specialty is with Race and Ethnicity. I’ve studied these things my whole life, but seeing it is a whole new level. I went to the Smithsonian museum in Washington DC, USA, and I SAW Harriet Tubman’s clothes, SAW the tools they used as well as what was used on them. I saw a portable crib for field slave moms. It was never as real for me as that moment. I’ve wanted to visit Gore and other locations. I drove by a plantation visiting relatives down the the American South, and for the first time in my life, as I live in the Northeast, I saw the sheer size of the plantation my people worked on. I personally am adopted from Romania, so technically they wouldn’t be my biological ancestors most likely, but I still consider them my ancestors. Peace and Rest in Power.
PS
I can’t wait for the day when black people decide to rise up and fight back! They are LITERALLY killing us! We should start killing them back. In the United States, anti-black racism is very unique compared to other countries. I believe we are headed for another American Civil War , and when it starts I’ll be ready. We need a return of the Black Panthers, an American black power group that fought back when attacked. They also created school lunch programs, voting registration help, food pantries the works.
So you are a Romanian trying to incite war🙄. The only way black people can win this race war is by loving each other and uniting. The day black men start really loving black women and children enough to want to create better, beautiful communities and countries for them to live and florish in is the day the black race will start to win. When rich black men marry black women and form powerful black families that can leverage power and influence and when black people build and develope large manufacturing, technology, medical and pharmaceutical companies as well as make more inventions, then you will see a change.
Thanks for this information
Sincerely this is the first time hearing this ✅
First time watching your videos wish could get someone in Kenya who can exploit like this love your videos

You are amazing, thanks for all your beautiful findings. May all the souls of our forefathers keep resting in power.

Very sorry our ancestors 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢RIP
Wow.. majority of all the African American are from Nigeria, even most Liberia and Sierra Leone are Nigerian by ethnicity origin, they were the returnee from the US.
The "igbos" they are actually talking about were actually Akwa ibomites, cross Riverians and the Riverians
Then it was known as Eastern region. All the South-South (Except for Edo) and South-East were considered Igbos and they all had one fate, and were treated alike in the federal government level before the disintegration which came as a plot to distort their quest for a sovereign state.
The locations where slave trade thrive mostly were Cross River (which includes parts of Akwa Ibom), Imo (Which includes Abia State & parts of Rivers) then Bayelsa.
What can I say but to say thank you so much for this video. Apart from the Hausa and jeruba all other tribes were considered as Igbos
Bomb oooo. No pity oyinbo
A similar one is in Ghana. When I went there, my phone signaled me in less than 5mins that the temperature was too hot for my phone. 200 people were kept there for 3 months or so until the ships arrived for transportation.
Those people were wicked. I guess they considered us as animals
Funny enough most of us are still behaving like animals by loving corruption so much. No be human being with brain dey support Tinubu? 🤣.my dear Africans have problem ooh
J'ai beaucoup aimer votre Travail merci beaucoup
Akwa Ibom government should pay you for the good work you’ve done for the state, God Bless you
May God be with you sir
Good job
