- Hey guys! Wanted to give you guys a tutorial on how to dye your own pair of shoes! You can use any color just be aware its more of a tint then the full color. Regardless they come out amazing i feel like this is the perfect color for a friend/girlfriend for Valentines day!! Give it a try & add a personal name or message for partner! P.s. i did heat dry with a heat gun for about 2hrs & left them to dry out in the sun for the whole day but you can definitely try throwing them in the dryer !

After you acetone the shoe, do you have any uneven marks? I have a problem with that and also some parts appear darker than the other panels. Any tips to get a more even dye would be great! Ur shoe came out really nice.

Great video! Hey so some other tutorials said to leave them in the dye for around 4 hours. What difference does that make? I was also wondering whether taping spots on them works with the hot water.
Thank you! You can leave them in longer to get a darker dye but after a certain time it wont get any darker & isn’t by much. I still have my blue & pink ones & they have not faded at all(: & tape should work! Just find the strongest one you can & i would suggest to actually cover your shoe first with the tape on the area you don’t want dyed before you acetone that way if some dye leaks in under the tape it still wont dye since you didn’t acetone that area/spot if that makes sense

I tried this. But the entire sole didn’t get covered with the dye like yours. It’s patchy.

Good question, i haven’t tried that but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. I would put them inside a mesh bag just incase & im sure it would work the same as using a heat gun like i did

Doubt it, some spots that i didn’t acetone stayed white. Maybe less dye? Or leaving them in for less time should help with a faded look

You can just get it at Walmart or most grocery stores
So basically you just added a camera filter in the end to make the shoe pop.. In reality it does not look like that at all..
