    WARNING: Everyone's hair is different. If you have a sensitive scalp like I do, try testing a strand of your hair before applying Chebe to your whole head. 😊
    ✨What is Chebe Powder?
    A mixture of herbs used to lubricate and strengthen the hair strands. The women of Chad apply it with cream and oil to the length of their hair (not the scalp) and then braid it into a protective style.
    The Chebe mixture stays in the hair and is reapplied every 3 to 5 days. This method encourages length retention and prevents the breaking of the hair.

    the chebi powder plays a role in hair length retention but they key to how they grow their hair so long is low manipulation. they braid their hair and leave it for like a month and redo it over again. adding it to a wash and go wont really help much

    Chebe has really helped improve the condition of my hair. I purchase the already made Chebe paste and Karkar and Chebe paste from chebeusa. I mix the two with my Curly Proverbs fenugreek oil recipe oil and wear protective styles for 3-4 weeks. I don’t reapply every 5 days however I do spritz my scalp with my fenugreek spritz and oil my scalp weekly. I’ve been doing this since December and my hair is so thick and it has retained length. I will support you as well because I love Chebe, the women of Chad for sharing this, Ms. Sahel and of course you ❤️
    *** Edit I also use Natty Naturals leave in so in order 1. Fenugreek spritz, 2. Natty Naturals leave in, 3. Chebe mixture, 4. Protective style. I’ve been doing this since December. Give yourself 6 months and you will see results of thicker hair that retains length and minimal shedding.

    Ahh I forgot about the smell! Well...😅After this initial application, I can say that the powder smells like a mixture of an herbal aroma and smoke. Yes, charcoal smoke? Maybe because they roast the herbs 🤷🏽‍♀️. I notice when I cook it, I do not get the smoke smell. Its more like a strong herbal tea if you cook it for 30 to 45 minutes on low heat. I cooked it way too long in my Chebe butter video, which is why it smelt more assertive. Also, once I mixed it with my DIY Chebe Creme, it smelt like roses because of the essential oil I used 😊🌹

    This technique made me think of something for weeks I been trying to figure out how chebe butter make your hair grow when you don’t put it on your scalp ! The way you do it reminds me of when I use to get perms folks don’t put perm on there scalp but it didn’t stop the perm from doing it’s job . I love your video

    • @jonettheonly
      @jonettheonly Před rokem

      You're not trying to straighten your scalp, you're trying to straighten your hair, that's why perms are not put on the scalp. Perms are chemicals, they cause chemical burns if they touch skin (which includes your scalp). That's why people use gloves.
