All NITE LONG baby WIllie Dixon was a wordsmith,Genious,ANd great businessman. He died RICH. After recouping his Royalities from The Chess family(The label built of his back) and Led Zeppleen & Rolling Stones. the blues? All NITE LONG baby PEACE WD
Agree. I've heard other versions that try to turn it into something thematic. The very nature of it is its simplicity and fun. Just proves once again that if Willie Dixon isn't the father of the Blues, he's at least an uncle.
Agree with this, but not sure about the Stones royalties issue. Mick and Keef may have been jackasses to some of their peers and even members of their own group, but they also had great respect for the people they got their music from, either directly or indirectly. They generally gave credit where credit was due.

This is great. Absolutely classic blues by the Blues Man Willie Dixon.

Yes, it's from Chicago Blues fest ;)
There's at least two harmonica players but I have no idea who they are. Sound fantastic, though!
Nice.....
saaa weet...
hOLY SHIT, who is the harmonica player?
6/8/84??
Paul Butterfield?
So this is pretty much entirely off of a G riff throughout. Not even a I-IV-V progression. Just straight G. Anyone hear anything else?
No.. the whole thing stays on the one.. Keeps the same bass riff all the way thru as well. It's a great "show closer"..
