Thank you for doing these trips and you are right, photos do not do a bag justice. A video ALWAYS helps. I made my latest purchase from coach based off a video so they really should keep allowing videos to be made.

Sorry about that employee 🙄 You are 100% correct that their photos just don’t cut it! I like to see someone looking at, holding, carrying the bag to get the real feel and size of a bag. I agree theses prices are getting out of control.

On a side note the Kate Spade Dakota bag has a similar silouette to the coach idol bag. The Dakota bag is under 400 USD and they have this cool trendy gold crinkly leather one and a more classic black puffed quilted flap one too. Though the silouette shape is similar the compatentalizarion inside the bag is very different. So I guess it depends on if you want silouette vs leather and hardware details. As coach leather and hardware on the idol bag is delicious. The coach idol bacg lock is clever in how the gold or silver metal C is still there underneath the flap when you unlock the bag.
Coach should hire you asap.

Boy, those prices are jaw dropping!! 😱😱😱 Mine dropped a few times! Is there someone different in charge? May as well shop at Gucci or LV.🤨 Also, that witch was extremely rude!!
I sold almost all my LV and Gucci bags because my coach ones are considerably better quality so I couldn’t justify the price for the luxury ones, I would still take coach for less than half the price of those brands, and I live in Italy so Coach is even more expensive here than it is in Canada.
Of course that is just my experience, you might have had more luck than me with Gucci and LV.
I personally believe alot of Coach products are better than most higher end labels, so I can agree to that but the re-sale value of each said brand is kinda where it comes down to imo. Coach bags are very easy to find second hand and for incredibly cheap. LV and Gucci have incredibly higher re-sale value and thus will hold value better and be a better long term investment. Coach is TRYING to go the route of long term investment, but when you built the brand off of incredible leather goods for cheap prices, people will not be willing to pay quadruple, triple or even double the price they were once offering with sometimes DEBATABLY better leather. In the case of early 2000s and all years prior, the leather just aint the same. Its a very bizarre tactic to take when you piggy backed off of the lower-middle class people. Phew that was alot 😂😂😂
@@scottiliciousmcfabulous that is true, I managed to sell almost all my LV ones for the same price I paid or higher, Gucci doesn’t have good resell value, at least here, so I lost some money there. But I also have a Fendi backpack I wouldn’t even try to sell because the leather started peeling on the third use 😢.
I believe Coach’s potential to become a luxury brand and I would keep on buying it, but the problem for me also is the sales, every coach handbag ends up with a good 40% off at some point so I would never pay full price for one, LV never has sales and that’s one of the things makes it such a safe investimento I think.
@@scottiliciousmcfabulous It does help a brand when they have a long rich history such as Louis Vuitton. I think that a lot of it is exclusively. If you haven’t already, check out Tanner Leatherstein on this channel. He’s a leather butcher! He dissects all different types of bags, including Coach, LV, Gucci, etc. It’s horrifying and cringy to watch, but you can’t look away! He explains the leather quality and estimates how much labor it would take to assemble it. The estimate is always way lower than the retail price. He buys the high end bags off of Fashionphile and resellers like that. He does have his own brand, but I can’t tell you what it’s like personally. If you shop at LV or Gucci these days, you will discover that their canvas bags are mostly well over $1000 and their leather bags are 2k and 3k plus. Definitely cannot buy new Gucci or LV for Coach prices. That's why I stay at Coach, which really is comparable quality.
Thanks for sharing the new products coach has dropped yet again. Coach is dropping so many new products every few weeks at this point. It’s hard to keep up. I agree with you when you said coach is getting expensive. I fear $700 may be the norm.

I had that problem with the former owner of an antique store who messaged me through Instagram and continued to fallow me and still dose even though someone else owns it now. Telling me to delete all my shopping trips through their store as I did nothing wrong and didn’t shop there for a couple years until the new owner took over the antique store. What is wrong with people? In what world does that harm them or anyone? It ONLY makes sense if said owner was ina clip without permission. 99 times out of 100, thats NEVER the case. In the digital/security age, what does it matter? You gave up any privacy you once had the moment you boot up a smartphone. Someone recording ina store is the LEAST of any employee/managers concerns! 😂😂

I never filmed the former owner in any of my deleted videos but only showing what they had and how much they were asking for items. Filmed for years without any problems until the former owner found out through the grapevine. They still don’t have anything posted on their door or website that No Filming and no photos taken. At least it wasn’t like the one time when I filmed a seasonal antique store for a couple of years and one of the employees sneaked up behind me while filming and asked to stop and they also had nothing posted saying No Filming and no photo taken and after that I never went back to the seasonal store cause I thought it was rude to sneak up on me and they are actually voiced on the video that’s still up

It would be so sad if you weren't allowed to film at Coach anymore. What is the reason? I know some stores are like that, but for what? Anyway, I hope that doesn't happen, because I love the videos. I have a boutique that I only go to like a couple of times a year, it's nice to see others' videos. Anyway, I love the Idol bag and saw it in the store. It's really high quality, moreso than I'd say about 2/3 of the store. It went on sale for $521 USD during black Friday sale, and I think that's a reasonable price for it. It's not my usual style, but it's definitely top notch.

Yorkdale is my least favourite Coach retail location in Toronto/GTA. Last time I was there, each of the workers gave me a different response to a question I had regarding Coach Create. It was really annoying and confusing that they weren’t on the same page.
How that worker spoke to you was uncalled for and rude. Sometimes the website pics are inaccurate in terms of colours plus its hard to gauge size.

Well I don't get why they don't want people filming in the store. For years their website wouldn't work so how could I look at the photos online!? And so I stopped going there and to this day I am not sure if it's still glitchy like it was last time I went to the website in 2022 early 2023. And Most importantly I bought several bags I NEVER ever would have if it wasn't for videos like yours. One was the cute year of the rabit carryall at Coach outlet. Soo cute but seriously didn't need it and never would have considered it without your review. sooooo hey free advertising that does way more than any glitchy can't load photos on their crap website.
Ok so the prices are going up quickly, sadly. SO I am looking at other brands now that have good leather and aRe 500ish and under for a medium to small bags. And As you know, plenty of cute, unique bags out there in the coach preloved market.
Oh my god the website is absolutely hot garbage, as someone that needs to use it frequently for my audience, it can seriously make one go insane. It makes ME go insane. At one point I could see locations for bags in stock at stores. The store locator or what ever. For a year now, it has not worked. For me nor for anyone I know. Its really ridiculous. The CONSTANT popup ads when you’e already been shown them 100 times. I seriously cant stand the website.

I once got some Coach survey message and I told them their website was malfunctioning so often I couldn't complete a purchase, so I I hadn't bought anything at their retail site ever at that point. I got a reply to my email saying ok, happy shopping next time. Or something along those lines. So pointlessly not helpful. Lol. At that time the coach outlet website still worked most of the time, but then started glitching too.😅

What sells it for me is the matte black hardware with the leather chain, it just looks amazing. The price though.. 💀
I’m reluctant to buy anything other than silver or gold hardware. I’ve had huge issues with gunmetal hardware. Also when I contacted coach about this, they claimed they weren’t aware and weren’t able to repair hardware. For the price you’re paying, I’d proceed with caution.

You may be correct Diego, but as I said in my video about the CEOs comments on the brand and its consumers, it still doesnt make it right. Its not right to piggy back off of the lower-middle class people with cheap prices and outstanding products to turn around and tell us our money, and what the brand has been built up with, does no matter any longer. Its a very elitist way of thinking. Michael Kors tried something identical, and it failed completely and now theyve been bought out by Coach. If they continue to increase prices like this, I wont be able to look at the brand the same because at one point, a $450 bag was $250 and the quality isnt significantly different. To price people out of their favourite brand, is just an awful feeling.

Ohhhhh The Idol bag is my dream bag since I saw it for the first time on your first episode covering it weeks ago (also that all black Tabby 26). I just love that C lock. Unfortunately, there are some SA's that have this "elitist" attitude (Chanel, Burberry, Dior, Vuitton, Gucci same attitude). I would talk to the manager of Coach about that SA...seriously. You shop there and promote the products. That hawty attitude of that SA is unacceptable. The tone in which she used to talk to you was so unprofessional and unwelcoming.
It really did feel that way, afterwards I wanted to leave the store and do something else. It makes me uncomfortable and anxious when people do that and its stopped me from filming in other locations. Im going to another store tomorrow so I can talk to them about it 😂🙈

Those made from scrap leather bags are I’m sorry, way overpriced. I don’t think they are even attractive. I love Coach. But they knocked it out of the park with the swing zip bag and bandit. Wayyyy better priced for what you’re getting.

The attitude on that sales associate was unbelievable. If they don’t want to allow filming in their store that’s fine ( it would be dumb, but I guess is their right), but at least be polite about it, so incredibly rude. You were not even filming the people inside, only the bags
It took me off guard quite a bit tbh. Some people aint got manners, and whats more wild is that I had like 4 SA’s prior ask if I need help. So she seen them ask if I needed anything and said I was all good just browsing. Hopefully doesnt become a repeat incident 🙄
