I was thinking, "he's really going to fertilize each individual plant?!", and then you went the easy route which will work just the same but make things a bit dusty. I love Epsoma's garden tone, but it's dusty and I always tell myself I should be wearing a mask when handling it. Beautiful garden!
Amazing garden. It's glorious. How often do you fertilize? I'm about 45 days in and some leaves are yellowing. I fertilize with 4-6-4 about every 2-3 weeks. I'm not sure how often to fertilize. Thanks.
Thank you so much! I usually fertilize with the Biotone fertilizer at planting and then once they start to flower like in this video I fertilize with garden tone. We’ve has great success with that fertilizer schedule and it’s simple for us. We do have a harvest video you’re welcome to checkout. I think we got around 200lbs of potatoes from that bed. So fun! Thanks again!
They are untreated but we burned the wood with a torch to preserve it. We have a video on how we preserved them. Also, the boards are 2x12 boards that are 16 feet long. Some beds are 8 feet long
Good to know! We’ll try that this year. We got over 200lbs of potatoes from that harvest but curious to see how much more it can yield by pinching the blooms.
@@CWK1229 I would try to find a local garden center that would carry locally made compost or something that'll be a bit higher quality because you get what you pay for but i find that the big box stores don't typically have many nutrient dense compost options in my opinion. I've used them in a pinch and i've also used them in my flower beds and flower planters and it works ok but then I have to keep amending pretty regularly.
Treat your potatoes with! This, . ? What, is what we all need to know. Wonderful veg. garden. But we would like to know what you just , chucked the rest of the bag , among your potatoes. And , we would like to see some results , as well. ? It’s all hearsay and no tips.
The whole set up is so tidy and glorious.
Thank you so much!!

@@setapartfarmandgardens Wow that's a lot. So only 2 feedings? Will definitely check out the harvest video. Thank you
Are your raised beds built with pressure treated wood? For the potato beds, what were the dimensions of the boards you used?
They are untreated but we burned the wood with a torch to preserve it. We have a video on how we preserved them. Also, the boards are 2x12 boards that are 16 feet long. Some beds are 8 feet long
Take the flowers off mate, they put more into their tubers

I missed what the NPK was??
I believe it’s 3-4-4 for gardentone.
What soil mix or brand would you recommend with potatoes?
This is how we made our Raised Bed soil mix: czcams.com/video/KLwwipf9X7E/video.htmlsi=MpUGihpNGgWfAn1y
Hope that helps
If I got a compost or compost blend from home depot or Lowe's to mix with peat moss what would you recommend?

Did you use the whole bag?
Nope! :) i still had quite a bit left. That raised bed is 16 feet long & i still had a good bit left
Does anyone mulch their potatoes? It's my first year, and I used whest straw although I haven't been a big fan of it.
We usually don’t hill or mulch our potatoes. I know some people do, but we’ve had great results just planting them and leaving them alone
lovely +1my new friend
Thank you

Here's the harvest video after fertilizing
Warning: They don't smell that great. An understatement if I ever heard one.
