- For many people, mountain biking is a migratory sport. Once you get a taste for the trails, moving closer to ride every day is a no brainer for those who choose the lifestyle. For Matt Hunter, migration was never necessary. He grew up in Kamloops, where the surrounding landscape was an ever-present inspiration for his own riding.
A child of the BC outdoors, Matt’s idea of a good day is any day he gets to ride his bikes. It’s never been about being the best, but rather standing shoulder to shoulder with his peers, never apart and never above. Matt has always just wanted the sport to look as good as it feels when he stomps his butter-smooth lines and gargantuan airs.
In his hometown of Kamloops, Matt never needed to journey far to escape the distractions of everyday life. Now with kids of his own, however, those precious moments are all the more enriched by the people around him. Chill rides with the fam or power trains on The Farm, This is Home.

The collective is Genesis. fantastic movie. Didn't want it to end... So hard to watch this now as the farm is gone.
I'm 28 now, and my MTB passion starts just from those "seasons" clips. Feels so nostalgic to watch it today, more than 10 years ago
Some pretty radical riding many thanks to the fathers of the MTB who were from California and started playing with these things in the late seventies. We all ended up with some awesome equipment because of those guys.

1:58 That section in 'Seasons' by The Collective is in my top top bike film list, with the music '18 Candles' by The Sessions. I remember my first time watching is about 10 years ago. That moment my heart is so touch. Even though I don't get any chance to ride mountain bike like them, but still get the motivation to do other things I want after that. After these 10 years past, the feeling is still so strong every time I watching it. I can say this film is the reason why I love biking. Inspiring by Matt and also other riders in that film. GREAT WORK you guys!!

It was really great to see the whole family Hunter again, Rob with his almost spiritual vibe, sharing his clever Thoughts and Ann Marie getting the rhubarb reminded me of her "spiritual " food and desserts :) , Despite not meeting Matt IRL I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with his family. Best experience from the Loops still warm to my heart after nearly13 years. Would love to get in touch again! So my Stumpjumper bought then still reminds me like Matt said, Kamloops is not only the trails,, is the people. Best wishes to you all, Hope to bring my kid to ride bikes over there someday. Elkin M
