I've probably watched this video 100 times from the official video to every reactor I can. Yours was and still is my Fave reaction EVER. I'm such a huge JT fan from back in the NSync days to everything he's done since. Chris is such an amazing singer and an awesome duo with JT on this as well as "Say Something", especially the ONE TAKE video. Drink You Away is my 2nd favorite on the 20/20 album but I've never found a video. When this one showed up, I was SO excited, but once I watched it, I was dumbfounded!! As you said, I would have never bothered to get on the stage after this performance if I was one of the artists slated to perform.
I saw this live, and I am not an emotionally demonstrative person.
When it was over I was standing, and my throat felt raw, my hands were red, and I was exhausted...I still have no memory of putting my plate down and getting off of my sofa.
I believe it is the best live performance that will ever happen.

This is one of my all time favorite live performances, and not only should they record an entire album together, but I would pay more money than I could afford to in order to see them do this live and be a part of that energy in the room. "Fire Away" is one you may want to watch the official video. Chris doesn't normally do those but he had a message to deliver. It's much more impactful with the video.

It'is one that is out of character for Chris but one of my favorites. That song is the only one were Chris cones in with a chip on his shoulder.

Morgan, Justin and his band, and Chris are all raw wonderful talents alone. This night, they were enjoying and having fun doing their craft. It went into that rare air that only joy can take you, that stratospheric height of perfection, leaving the audience and viewers left in awe. To have this super rare moment caught on Film is a true blessing.
The only other performance to even come close to this was Bruno Mars superbowl performance.
You have to check out Chris performing this live at the Austin City Limits with his wife...it's fire! Also, his performance of his song Cold at the CMA's 2021.

1 Of the many fabulous Qualities of chris stapleton is doing duets with people you would never think he would go with. I never saw him and j t together but they are saying and also in say something. Jessica called Morgane and asked if Chris would play at Jason's Birthday Party back before he was a big name. When your double teamed by two women with that strength of will a wise man surrenders. The couples have been huge friends ever since.
They didn't want to give Chris much time at the 2015 CMA (he being the new kid) so Morgane and Jessica hatched a plot to use JT to extort them into giving him the time.
Believe me Chris is a great singer and good person but Morgane is a force of nature.
