  • Pro athletes Sabrina Stanley, Stephen Kersh, Ruth Croft and Pablo Villa talk to us about the highs and lows of ultra running. Follow each of these incredible runners as they discuss overcoming hardship, finding purpose in trail running and the difference a good team can make.

Running the likes of the Western States 100 involves intense physical training as well as mental training. When your mind and body are in sync, you feel like you can fly. Ultra running is just as much about your mental capacity to fight through the lows and trust in your body as it is about the physical. It’s an emotional journey and a real test of the mind.

‘You’re the captain of your own ship, it’s up to you to find what brings you happiness and joy in life’ - Ruth Croft.

Being present in the moment, finding your purpose, and pushing through the pain is essential when you’re tackling such mighty distances. Whilst Sabrina, Stephen, Ruth and Pablo discuss their own individual struggles with the sport, they are united by their strong ambition, drive and desire to push themselves to new heights.

One of the realest and best running documentaries that I've watched. The runners showed real emotions.

I have been running for 7 years now. Always ran with Adidas shoes, and any gear the brand can provide. As I grew, so did my distances. Now I do Ultra distances, and nothing pleases me more than to see my brand embrace this sport. If they ever sponsor middle aged guys, or be a brand ambassador, look me up 🙂! Either way, I will always run in Adidas on the road/track/trail and always in my daily lifestyle. Very inspiring video nonetheless.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this humbling process, bravo to you all. I’m 65 and ❤️ trail running. If I don’t run even just 5k I’m bereft, not in the sense of the activity is a drug, but that I live to run , it gives me purpose and an ability to commune with the outdoors ( ps, I also run to eat cake and drink coffee) I got up early today to run a hill(430m) I’ve not run since before COVID started. It was brutal on my quads descending , but I love it. Hopefully you’re all well and running strong, stay safe, stay happy and keep running 🙏
