I KNOW!!! Every DAMN time I hear the snippet for Light and Darkness I get goosebumps! CAN NOT WAIT to hear that one!
Great reaction - this song gets better each time I listen to it (many BABYMETAL tracks do that) and I have no doubts it will be epic when they play it live.
Su's voice is divine on this track, I think it's the best I've ever heard her. I can only imagine how powerful this song will be live with the energy from their choreography and the chants from the crowd. It's going to be an otherworldly experience. We are the one!
This is like a mellow version of Road of Resistance. A bit ominous, but just as powerful.

Since I'm a sucker for Su's amazing vocals I instantly love this one without hesitation. But this is the first song of the new album and has some introductory vibes. Now imagine playing "Divine Attack" next. Just let it grow on you. To me, this is epicness made song.

Before they went on hiatus at the end of 2021 they made it a point to say that this chapter of Babymetal was closed. We are now entering a new phase of the band with this concept album. I think anyone expecting to hear more of the same of that previous era will be disappointed. They're young adults now with different stories to tell,and it's time to move on from the Kawaii aspect of their music. If the 3 songs that we've heard from them so far is what we're going to be getting from them,then we should be excited for the future of Babymetal 🦊🤘

Usually expectation is met with disappointment. 😊 That’s why I enjoy 99% of the stuff I listen to on here. I like to keep an open mind with everything.
@@EmpReacts I am wondering if the total absense of a screaming guitar solo relates to the death of Mikio, first Babymetal guitarist, fell from a lighting rig, took a year to die, thought to be Yui's boyfriend, though married, he was 37..... so he's started his own 37 club......Herman Li commented, "It's as if a guitar solo should come in there", doing his reaction to Divine Attack, Herman Li has played on one of their albums & expects to appear live on the upcoming Babymetal tour, Li said, "I'll put a guitar solo in there when I appear live with them next year", we are in next year of course. That's my reaction to your groovy reaction, Mr EMP..... electromagnetic pulse......
It is a clear song for the purpose of unity with the audience. The lyrics are positive and seem to be a song of support for those who live with us today. For example, it would not be out of place if it were the theme song for the Japanese team participating in the Olympics.
Su-'s singing in it, I guess it's a little vibrato. I wonder why they write songs like this that move me so much, ha? Well, compared to the Doki doki Morning days, they have really changed, matured, I feel. The old fans may be disappointed, but I'm okay with that. In fact, I was able to reconfirm that I became a big fan of BM because of Su-'s vocals after all, haha.
Well, I'm so excited I can't sleep, but I'm going to bed now. Otherwise, I must die in an accident while driving at my work tomorrow. Well, in the huge joy of it, that's good too?!, ha. Thank you from Japan!

I get a kick out of just how fast you've been hooked. I did the same exact thing about 2 years ago. These girls are my favorite thing that happened during the lockdowns. I recommend you go watch some of Su's individual performances like "Akatsuki Dark Night Carnival Live" there's a great one with English sub. Or even older ones like "Rondo of Nightmare" with Mischief of metal gods intro. She was born for this

Great reaction, you should compare your fav live performance to the studio album version, the difference is usually nuts at how much better the live is. I expect this one to be SUPER epic once performed live with the KAMI BAND performing it and probably throwing in a solo or 2.
It's BabyMetal. It's a concept album. For some listeners it will take time but for others every song is great.

bro before the album drop u need to check out 'Rondo Of Nightmare with mischief of gods intro.' here they give u a full introduction about the kami band. they all have a solo instrumental part in this song. so check this one out then u will understand what babymetal really about.

love this song. however i wish it didn't have the same melody feel as Monochrome. love Su's voice in this. she has such strong range from high to so low. even thought this is a 6 minute song it doesn't feel like it. i have same feeling as others that it takes me a few times to hear it to understand how good it is. read the lyrics and you can see this is like a fighting song that you sing in front of anybody to get them hyped up. the drums again are awesome in this. how Su can sing so soft at the beginning and be so strong at the end like an anthem is to her credit. you just want to follow her.
Give it a few more listens and I suggest you look up the translated lyrics. You can see how it fits in with the other songs so far. I think, like Monochrome, this one is a slow burn. BTW, Su’s voice is just gorgeous now, so many layers.

👍 👍 I think this will indeed grow on you. This is my second time hearing it and the second hearing hooked me.
I'm disappointed. If I had heard this song blind, having no idea who it was, I would have never guessed it was BABYMETAL. Make no mistake, Su-metal has an astounding voice, but this isn't BABYMETAL. This and the other two tracks that have been recently released ("Divine Attack" and "Monochrome") are starting to feel like this is going to be a Suzuka Nakamoto solo album featuring Moa Kikuchi. The kawaii isn't there, and BABYMETAL is starting to sound like just another J-metal band. In my opinion, much of "Metal Galaxy" was like that with a mere smattering of kawaii. Upon thinking about it a bit more, it seems to me that they are trying to be "epic" with their songs - which is fine but it just isn't BABYMETAL!
Leave us hope that the remaining seven tracks of "The Other One" are more "BABYMETAL-ish".
