- South African lawyer Adilah Hassim on Thursday had voice choked with emotion at the International Court of Justice as she described Israeli atrocities against children in Gaza
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) is holding public hearings in the case South Africa v. Israel with the oral argument of South Africa taking place on Thursday.

One of the most extraordinary people who combines her acute intelligence with absolute humanity. Such people are ridiculously rare in public life.
When one is aware of what Israel is doing in Gaza one really does think that the Western world, sponsored by Israel, is completely inhumane.
We need to find out exactly what Israel has been doing with its nuclear weapons development these past 50 years. In that time it seems it has been engaged in the widespread deployment of these terrible devices inside the western nations.
It's all connected to late stage capitalism. Capitalism is utterly unequal, inhumane and unsustainable. It's the Cancer Stage of Capitalism as a great author once said.
We cannot live in peace under capitalist world order. That's 100% clear to anybody who has looked at the evidence and done basic system analysis. Anyone who has, isn't alone.
