ماسال شهری در استان گیلان ایران که در کنار کوه‌های تالش واقع شده‌است. مردم این شهر به زبان‌ تالشی سخن می‌گویند. معنی کلمه ماسال کوه وار یا کنار کوه یا دارای کوه است، که از کلماتی مانند مسال، مازال و… گرفته شده‌است.
شهر ماسال در کنار رودخانه خالکایی واقع است، که این رودخانه از قله مرتفع شاه‌معلم سرچشمه می‌گیرد پس از طی ۴۰ کیلومتر از درون شهر ماسال گذر می‌نماید.

Masal County (Persian: شهرستان ماسال‎) is a county in Gilan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Masal. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 47,648, in 12,328 families. The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Shanderman District. The county has two cities: Masal and Bazar Jomeh.

من نمیدونم چند نفرتون بعد دیدن این ویدیو قصد سفر به ماسال رو دارین اما واقعا ماسال خیلی فرق کرده خیلی زشت شده هر مسافری میاد یه گندی میزنه میره..
