Boxing needs these kind of characters. Good for the sport
Yeah flash mugs.
I love him, the sport is crying out for characters and Ben is exactly that, we should be getting behind him, he’s a genuine talent
😂 😂 😂
Would agree , he will be a dominant World Champion and a great character and future for British and World boxing. Reminds me of the great Thomas Hearns and with sugar hill from the ' Kronk Gym' looks like he has a bit of the DNA
Some talent this boy is. Only tuned in last night to watch Ben because I knew he’d be entertainment
Lots of complaints about his arrogance and comparison to Nas, but this is show business. Nas was the biggest ticket in sport, but not because people wanted him to win, they just wanted to watch.
And where did that get him? He got smashed by the first legitimate opponent he faced and faded into obscurity. Showboating at this level is fine, but let's hope he tempers it as he moves up the ranks.
@@kevdodangoda2258 talk before you speak yh?
@@mdc3227Kevin Kelly was legit
@@mdc3227 Where it got Nas = Globally the biggest attraction in sport, youngest British boxer to win a World Title, retired a multi-millionaire at 28, inducted into the boxing Hall of Fame and known as arguably the most talented British boxer to lace them up. Didn’t do too bad did he?
Don’t really like showboating when your fighting a man who is not even in your league. Nas would showboat at the highest level, let’s see if Ben does it at the highest level?
I like his style and arrogance but once he steps up to world level he may get clipped just like we’ve seen with fighters in the past who got too cocky, class fighter tho big fan of Whittaker🥊
When's it going to be revealed that Ben's Johnny Nelson's secret son...should have stayed away from those Brum clubs, lad! 😂
It won’t be world level. It will happen at British level.. this bum will never win a world title
Thanks for pointing out the most obvious thing in the history of man.
The reason why showboating is entertaining is because it has a risk. High risk, high reward.
@@BeforeThisNovember the only risk it has is of being embarrassed

Tommy fury struggled so hard against Jordan grant and ben Whittaker just came in and destroyed him. Tommy should stick to influencers
He should be the next superstar boxer from the UK. He has everything you want, charisma, great talent and looks the part.
Same Jordan Grant which Tommy Fury struggled with haha. levels
We occasionally need characters like this in the sport. It gets people talking and can attract casual viewers.
Anyone with eyes can see he’s a humble guy, he’s a performer & he’s confident, there’s a difference! Check his manners at the end of the fight, straight over to opponent & opposing team to offer condolences & appreciation for stepping in the ring.
Arrogant fighters don’t do that, arrogant fighters are sore winners, Ben is a humble & extremely talented & dedicated fighter. His trainer Joby has an excellent way of keeping people’s egos in check, whilst also instilling confidence and passion in his fighters.
Another cracking performance from Ben, I don’t think this opponent tested him much, but it was a good fight to come back from injury to, to ease him back into performing at his best. That being said, Ben will make most opponents look like easy contestants in the ring due to his skill, speed, timing, accuracy & awkward style of fighting.
A lot of haters in the comments, probably never step foot in the ring & still live at home with their mom. The UK in general doesn’t like to see someone confident, the UK loves an underdog because a lot of people are conditioned to be losers & slaves in the UK.
Keep smashing it Ben 🚀🚀🚀🚀 all the way to the top, props to Joby & Sugar Hill too
every1 will watch his fights hoping to see him get beat coz he acts like an arse hole!
I stopped reading when you said humble
@@Mikeoxmells-grimm it’s a shame that you can’t read between the lines of someone’s behaviour to see their true character 👍🏼 unfortunate for you mate, oh well..
@@jimhaughey2017 people in the uk are losers and slaves? People don’t like him because he’s arrogant and has done little to nothing to prove the hype. People from the uk see through this behaviour. Once he backs it up maybe people will but I doubt it when he’s acting like this in fight 3. British people loved Nas and Fury, people who have proved it.
@@Mikeoxmells-grimm he’s an Olympic silver medalist lol, neither nas nor fury have had such success as an amateur , I’d say he’s proven himself to have the potential of fighting for a world title in a few years
Fantastic fighter Whittaker looking forward to seeing him step it up. Grant is no slouch he’s not going over easily.
I mean he made it tough for tommy fury
I'm a fan of Ben. He's a lad confident, enjoying his craft... respectful afterwards shows his just performing
Nice handspeed but no fan of fighters talking with the crowd etc , ego will be his Achilles heel not too far down the line
I love his taste in music first Wutang then redrat
Did they find grant outside a pub somewhere and just threw him in the ring 😅
This guy went the distance with Tommy fury and was undefeated at the time.
I like it
Boxing needs characters and personalities
Not everyone can be the same vanilla robot
Stop complaining,enjoy entertainment
Boxing needs characters. I have no issue at all with it. If he goes all the way - fair play. If he gets found out… then enjoy the ride.
It’s a business and he’ll definitely bring in casual fans and keep Ben Shalom in a job a bit longer. Great signing by Boxxer. I wonder how long his contract is for?
Not a fan of the dancing…especially against a guy he is clearly levels better than
More excitement in a few rounds than Buatsi whole career 👌🏼
Yeah a tad cocky but it will phase out as he steps up. We do need people like this tho. Enjoyed the bit of bants with dan at the end
These are the characters that boxing needs. Entertainers who have the skills to match
I like his "arrogance" because after every fight you can tell he actually respects his opponent a lot. Great character ❤
He’s what British boxing needs, I only came to watch him fight on this card
I feel like they've rushed Jordan Grant, he's got potential, should be fighting journeymen with a fair few losses, not other top propects, at least not at this stage.
It’s shocking that people don’t know that Ben Whitaker was copying the legendary Prince Naseem Hamed, he was a British Arab boxer from the 90s.. who bought major attraction along to his antics. Some people just watch boxing but don’t know any fighters lol
Enjoy it while you can, we saw it happen to Nas and Josh Kelly in recent times
Josh Kelly losing broke my heart 🤣
He's very good.. but that was an uncomfortable watch
There will never be another Prince Naz he was one in 1 billion
This Gala is a knob!!!
Shades of Prince Naseem Hamid
Show boating on a ginger. That’s low
What ginger got to do with it loooool
@@wolvespurstony Haven't you heard the song by Tina Turner?
This ain't WWE bro. Show some respect to your opponent... Jeez
Should never of sent him out for the 3rd
Shouldn't have been in the fight in the first place
If you look at it like that?
I thought naz hamed just walked out
I don’t mind a bit of showboating, but dancing around after a knockdown is proper cringe, especially this early in a pro career
Struggled with a decent journeyman in Saudi when Matchroom stitched him up
Yes finally a fighter who isn't the same as 90% of all other figures. Clown away. ♥️ Future world champ for me.
I like the showboating. Maybe tone it down a touch but it's all in good fun
The guys had 2 fights, should earn respect first imo
TKO, Ref called it & the towel was thrown in all at the same time, got to give it to young Ben Whittaker he's flashy & cocky but he's got the skills & excitement to go far in this business of boxing!!
I love the arrogance - boxing needs some characters.
I didnt realise Grant had also fought Tommy Fury... this is bad matchmaking for an Olympic silver medalist.
make sure youre humble brother you will go so far
Loads of potential but the show boating is so cringey but that's what sells unfortunately.
They love to talk about him showboating and how it’s wrong 😂 LET HIM COOK! RELAX
Ben is a great talent and prospect but all that showboating will make it very easy for people to mock him if (when?) he gets dropped.
Someone wants to be prince nassem
Phenomenal boxer, phenomenal talent, Ben Whittaker a future world champion!.. 🇬🇧💜
Nah don't know what the commentator is on about, ben does not look several weight divisions above jordan, he is a lot taller but literally looks very slim and skinny
I was entertained🎉🥊😎
He leaves himself open defensively needs improvement
That was a good towel throw ... take the loss & prepare without getting further damage ... last thing u want is your fighter being in that ring pushing a true life threatening injury .. especially if his vision may be impaired
He aint no naz
We got a song and dance along with the boxing. 😊
I get it. Be confident and enjoy what you’re doing but when he fights elite fighters along his journey I’m sure he will switch on more because he can’t mess around with them boys
Great to watch, but he might want to ease the showboating, giving him more energy to fight
Would he talking to the crowd during rounds if he was fighting buatsi .. suppose he learn as he steps up
Whittaker's ring walk song anyone???
stay humble ben, nice guy
Can’t wait for him to act like that with a decent fighter and gets chinned.
thank god for ben its wt boxing needed brillant
When's it going to be revealed that Ben's Johnny Nelson's secret son...should have stayed away from those Brum clubs, lad! 😂
That was cringy. Only Naz could do what he did as he was the first ever and the best ever to do it
Boxing needs characters like this. I know with british fans guys like this have always been marmite with the fanbase but they make the sport entertaining an they draw attention because if you wanna see them win or your watching hoping they'll lose your tuning in an a broadcaster should notice that an push guys like that as one youre faces of the channel
Tommy fury couldn’t get Jordan grant out of there
Tommy Fury isn't going anywhere.
Wonder. What Buatsi makes of this 👀👀
He’s good, but he goes overboard with the antics and needs to tone it down! Nas was smart with it, Whittaker makes it cringe worthy and distasteful.
Absolutely love Ben fighting style. Not sure he can keep that high paced style for 12 rounds.
Wa da intro song tho
British ppl love to tell others to be humble. Yet when the fighter fights on the world stage, all of a sudden the union jack flags begin waving in the distance
Hard to know if he is gonna make it at the highest level, or just be another Josh Kelly
Jordan hav chat way joe n get down to supermiddle u not a lightheavy bro proud of u always 😉
I've been following him but he can be a bit dirty with the elbows on times. Thing is he doesn't have to do that.
A lot of guys think they're the new Naseem.
To be a superstar firstly you need talent, that’s obvious. But you must be entertaining.
Now if you can sprinkle in there a bit of humbleness and relatability, well, the sky is the limit.
WEST MIDZ 🦝 ARWOOOOOOH WOW THE SPEED HE THROWS THEM FISTS ,, DONT 'BLINK
Only one NAZ
Ben vs Adam Azeem would be good
Ben Whittaker would destroy Tommy Fury
Maybe dont showboat against someone who works as a tiler full time, especially if you're a prospect and Olympian.
He's gonna be a massive star.
Folk saying wat a talent but no dis to opponent- most 1 sided spar ive seen in yonks - nothings to brag bout wen it that easy- .....respect 🥊
Fyi... he is more Emanuel Augustus than Naz.. who naz copied too😂😊
Bro is simply the best out here.
I'm old as dirt but I would of gone to him & committed the uppercut right hand over the top left hook body he might of took me out but I'd of been the best second anybody saw that night 😊
That red haired fellow he shouldn't even Be boxing.
I think his trying abit to hard to entertain. Cringey
Cry more
Hilarious, after a few days this is uploaded yet they haven't uploaded his last fight after months, sky trying to control what we see from their fighters. If they are underpar they don't let us see and instead post a 1 minute 42 second highlight video.
To much showing off , he will get caught soon enough . Takes his eye off opponent to much you can’t do that against a good fighter
The showboating i dont like but good prospect
Was it just me or did anyone else notice some similarities between Whittaker and fury , guessing that comes from sugar !
I ain't feeling him, wait till he steps up!
Refreshing🤩
He's no Naz but he's talented. Shalom best have deep pockets or eddie will be swooping in.
Sad to watch
Why?
@@Antibot2025 the humiliation was too much. Plus BW said he's gonna send him home in a body bag and Jordan said this gave him fire to bring it to BW. Unfortunately it didn't go as planned for Jordan instead it was humiliation.
He will meet a real level pro an see if he show boats 💯💯🥊
Reminds me off Ksi, fighting a no mark making or trying to look like a world beater kinda embarrassing, will keep an eye out, but I reckon as soon as he comes across a real boxer the boasts will fade .
Would be more impressive if he takes him out clinically.
good
Cringe...he Guna get hurt if he carrys on like that...and he learn then.. hopefully b more professional...cause he got talent...
He must have Hurt his big toe. Took a fall, $$
Well at least he'll put bums on seats, people will tune in just to see him get knocked out, (just like they did with Mayweather).
