    Been there twice, nice place to be away from maafushi, the dinner waiting time can be 30 mins or more, the trick is to order in advance enough time for a shower to be ready for candlelight dinner. Night time there is really dark. Roof top viewing of clear sky to see the stars are wonderful with hot coffee. Must try their local fried rice which comes with dried tuna.

      Maafushi to gulhi around 10 minutes by speedboat that I booked with my hotel. Around USD 25-30$ PP

    For the benefit of those watching this video, you don't need to go back to male for fulidhoo, you can go direct from maafushi. It's nearer from there.

    • @ciaokarthik
      @ciaokarthik  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes Gulhi was just 30 minutes speedboat ride from Maafushi but for the rest of the islands I had to go to the airport. I took a speedboat to Gulhi from Maafushi.

      @@ciaokarthik I'm so sorry, I forgot to mention fulidhoo.
      I was talking about fulidhoo. Corrected my comment.
      Also gulhi is 10 minutes as you mentioned in the video (not 30 right ?)

    • @ciaokarthik
      @ciaokarthik  Před 10 měsíci

      Yeah gulhi is very close to maafushi around 10-20 minutes speedboat ride away!

    • @ciaokarthik
      @ciaokarthik  Před 10 měsíci

      Yeah around 10-20 minutes from Maafushi, very close and any good guesthouse must be able to provide the transport to Gulhi.

    Bro do we get public transfer from Gulhi to Male on Fridays ?

    • @ciaokarthik
      @ciaokarthik  Před rokem

      There are very limited options on Friday, you do get Public ferries but contact your accommodation even before reaching Maldives which is the safest bet.

    No you dont put coffee or milk in the kettle! just boil the water with it.the coffee powder comes into a mug and u pour the hot water over it. Just reached maafushi and my kettle was disgusting cuz people did like u. So pls dont share this misunderstanding about how to use a Kettle!!!!plsss its only for boiling the water!!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

    We have visited the island because of your video. I am really sorry to say, it was a total disappointment. The beach is rather small and dirty, the smell of burning plastic lingers everywhere you go and the smell of the ship yard is quite bad too😢. I also have to mention the amount of dirt mounted next to the beach on the shore for 100 meters or so. We left the place and headed to Thodoo. I recommend the that island!

      Sorry to hear that you had such an experience. I just filmed my own experience and documented it and it was very good when I was there. Maybe it depends on the season or maybe things have gotten worse. I feel may be a little more care and stricter administration would make these local islands a great alternative to the otherwise luxurious resorts. And thanks for sharing your experience, Thoddoo is a great local island in my opinion although my personal favourite is Fulidhoo.

      They definitely shoud take more care of what they have! And yes, Thodoo and Fulhidoo were cleaner. All in all we had great experience travilling in the Maldives, we are lucky that could do it. Keep up your travelling habit and also sharing your videos!
