Unless you practice with drills for common issues like falling and such. Every time I play Minecraft I make sure to spend at least 20 minutes practicing common strategies for evasion, defense, and survivability.
I think I'm playing Minecraft wrong.
Corus fruits are incredibly useful because they can teleport a pretty much infinite distance on the y axis to save you. For instance, one of my favorite things to do if you are running away from someone in the sky is to fly up in the air a few hundred blocks and eat one. You will instantly appear on the ground and can make your escape. Another neat trick if you don't have an elytra is to swim down to to the bottom of a lake bed or in a small cave and it might teleport you way underground where your pursuer can't find you.

The home teleporter deals damage, but even if you’re at half a heart, and it triggers and you die, you can respawn and you can pick those dropped items at the teleporter.

"Spelled" write or name the letters that form (a word) in correct sequence.
Another one I think that can work, I'm not completely sure is that warped vines can be place on all (if not most) blocks- it's like a water clutch but for the nether and it'll be more helpful when you've already fallen
Scaffolding is a good alternative to weeping vines. Better, since you only need one item type, and it can work from both the top and bottom of the intended climb. Can also easily be removed and recovered from the bottom.
Suspicious stew can be crafted by all flowers, each gives you different effects.

Instead of using a flint and steel to damage boost yourself, just build up two blocks
Honestly, most of these fall under a “cool tricks” video rather than a life saving one, teleporting through a wall with a endetpearl isn’t gonna save you unless a player chasing you literally doesn’t have any mining tools

Instead of imbedding coordinates in game, why not use lode stones and a compass to get you back to where you need to be. If you have nether ingots to spare of course.

bro lodestones take up a lot of valubules
to avoid getting lost, I use random blocks or torches to mark a retirn path, or which way to go
in caves, diorite is very common, so I set 4-block polished diorite markers to tell myself which way leads out at forks and intersections - big, easy to see markers with blocks that are easy to come by and stick out against the textures of natural stone, and no crafting table needed or anything else needed, and I have my pattern in setting them down to avoid confusing myself with the very markers I'm placing
the trap door and composter is interesting, but burrowing is still the easiest, most practical escape without needing extra materials and blocks, maybe a pickaxe if you are in the desert, but I don't want to be in a desert in the first place without good reason, and if I do, I will have gone prepared to make a simple dirt or cobble shelter of any kind
I usually just use torches for marking

Honestly that's not such a bad idea!!
But if I am exploring etc, I mostly use a lodestone to come back to my base.
In the 1.16 update, they added lodestone, which is a LOT beneficial if ur going exploring.
It made compasses really useful! Basically if you right click on a lodestone using a compass, u will mark that block as the fixed cordinate of the compass. Although the downside is that it costs 1 netherite ingot

I kinda learned that thing about explosions from watching Hermitcraft season 8 with impulse grian and Mumbo trying to blow each other up and apparently it works even with end crystals
It’s so useful that, in 2b2t, hack clients can show how safe a place is to be in relation to an explosion
every time I see a mob in a minecart, it reminds me of the funny time I saw a squid in the minecart
I made a minecart track going up a hill near my house then back down to my house sort of in a circle. I could not stop laughing when I saw a llama riding the minecart going by my window over and over again.

one time, i was running from 3 creepers. and i went to a dead end. but there is a hole to opening other big cave above my 7 blocks up. i was started to buildupping.
after 5 blocks, one creeper blown up and other one is boosted to up and he is blown up too and he boosted me like 3 blocks that was a insane moment.

I always love how Skip uses the Pokemon Diamond Pearl and Platinum soundtracks in the background of his vids. Those were the games I first was introduced to Pokemon. And around that same time, when I was introduced to Minecraft. So it really gives a nice nostalgic flare to his content and I adore it.
That and the Majora's Mask Clock Town theme- I remember playing that game on my gamecube growing up, it's a really nostalgic song for me

Me and my friend trap each other in creative mode and then turn the other to survival, a lot. So I always get a full inventory of ender pearls and I can constantly escape. It’s hilarious to see her reaction when she comes back to the cage and I’m miles away. This trick works best with certain transparent blocks like glass, iron bars, glass panes and stuff like that.

For #7 instead of renaming items in your inventory I would recommend making something like a Google doc what can store infinite coordinates and then you can literally note down anything of significance like a jungle biome for example

7:19 I did something like this once in creative on a fish by accident. But the fish was suffocating on land instead of the wither effect. I kept spamming instant health and regen potions on it.
If you want your base safe but not lit, just collect as many mobs in boats as you can in some cave under it and they will not despawn and keep mob limit full.

I really appreciate the subtitles, although I don't have any hearing issues, I usually need to watch a video twice in order to understand what people are saying. With subtitles I can just read what they said and not have to worry about repeating something again.

FINALLY!!!! I'm no longer the only one who does what the second tip in the video is. Cause frankly it's a way to get music discs as well. Just boat in a creeper and grab a skeleton towards ya and lunar eclipse them shots.

Just place a water bucket next to a creeper and it won’t explode anything and won’t damage you too much
I've been doing No. 16 for years, especially since the Aquatic Update. You can also use Torches if you don't want to be deafened by the Water Bucket sounds!

Doors only take up one slot and work just as well.

7:09 Yeah, but the whole point of decay potions is to be creative mode only
There is a rare chance of finding decay potion in a witch hut in a certain seed. Then, we can farm it using cauldrons and dripstone

I'm surprised people haven't seen how warped vines work as a perfect "water bucket of the nether"...you won't take fall damage and like weeping vines you can spam bonemeal on them
What about powdered snow? It's way easier and it's as easy as a water bucket when vines are as hard as the ladder clutch.
@@lunaticcultistoface It depends on how you use them and how far in game you are...vines were the clutch before caves and cliffs..powdered snow is pretty game-changing
Lefty Using block stuff like slime blocks is much better because you can’t accidentally double click, you just hold down or spam place

huh, I got so used to hearing it before the list, that it felt weird when it went into the list
Did you know: when an axolotl is named, e.g Kevin, when you pick i up it will say bucket of Kevin, cool right, but if it isn't and it's just a yellow axolotl that you found it will say bucket of yellow adult axolotl. I thought this was cool when I found out, hope this is useful to someone.
I remember making special exploring times on my harcore world so i can find nearby villages but i never haf much time to travel because i had to remember to have the same amout of time to also get back
