Tallulah River, North Georgia | WORTH THE DRIVE?? (fly fishing)

  • Living in the city, I often wonder about the rivers and destinations in Georgia that are beyond a quick 20 minute drive to the Chattahoochee...in this case, the Tallulah River. I've always wanted to fish it, but hadn't made it happen until now.
And it's great to have someone who's been where you're going show you around the first time, and thankfully on this trip I was able to have that. I met up with a few much more experienced Czech/tightline nymph style fisherman and we "czeched" out what the Tallulah had to offer.
    Was it worth the drive!?
    Watch to find out

Great video been thinking about trying some Georgia fishing. I live twenty minutes north in North Carolina.

Was that part cool in June? May be out there next week and it seems to be mid 70s, so may try for smallies instead of trout

Did I say June in the video? I just don’t remember what time of year I was there, and I haven’t been back recently or anything. It was definitely cool enough when we were there to be catching stockers and not too worried about it. But yeah if you want to try for smallmouth you could!
