The beggar president has overstayed his welcome in most of Europe, most countries only have a very limited amount of SAM systems to begin with and aren't willing to part with them since they use them themselves, be it for training purposes or to secure their own airspace. Europe was fine giving them the surplus but now he's asking for the meat and the answer will be "no" all around.
Ukraine fails time and time again to pull back on their own accord, so you never got motivated troops in well prepared positions but demoralised and shattered remnants finding themselves in yet another set of shallow hand dug trenches. Commanders need to know when holding a line has become futile, when positions have become untennable and when the costs of staying are outweighing what can be gained. But they don't, they fight and fall in crappy ditches in the open fields rather than falling back to the proper defences on the highground and when they are finally forced back there there's noone left alive to man them meaning the whole front starts collapsing.
There are no proper defences to fall back to. They have only started digging them a month ago because they believed they would be in Crimea by this time. Because they fell victim to their own and western propaganda. They truly believed all that bullshit about the Russians running out of everything, pulling WW2 equipment out of storage bunkers and sending it to the front lines. That the Russians were demoralized and did not really want to fight this war. That the western equipment was so advanced and superior that it would just roll over the Russian lines even without adequate air and artillery support. Hell, most westerners are still to this day fully invested into this delusion. But in reality, war does not care about western feelings of pride and superiority. War is brutal survival of the fittest, and those who adapt to its conditions win.
It has to do with training and skill. You can't expect ill-trained conscripts to do more than hold ground in a prepared defensive position. That is why, for example, Germany had so many "fortress cities" on the Eastern front in 1944. They had so many poor quality infantry that were simply not capable of doing anything else.
Who tells you this nonsense. Is this a matter of relying on facts or farts. You don't have access to internal Ukraine militarily information. So farts it is.
@@brownmold Yeah, but you can at least make them hold the right ground and the well made positions. The Kievan high command is just an absolute dumpster fire...

Beside the two "successful counter-offensives" where Ukr just filled in the gap from Russian withdrawals the war has been going like this. Ukraine...withdraw, withdraw, withdraw, retreat, retreat, retreat, surrounded, surrounded, surrounded, routed , routed, routed, etc.
How do you over extend an opponent with 10x fire power and 4x the current forces its fielding on the battle. I think Zelensky should have people in Moscow negotiating the end to this war, or else we'd be seeing a seige of Kyiv soon.
How? Zelensky is not in a position to send people to Moscow to negotiate on his behalf. Canceling the elections will diminish his legitimacy. ...and on the other hand, he would never do that anyway and any Ukrainian official who might try will end up like Denis Kireev.
Meanwhile Ukraine Matters post some nice photo that resembles Ukrainian flag, like that's going to help somehow. At least I see the progres that they use oficial flag more often and the banderist one a bit less.

Considering the previous narrative that Russia is such a threat to NATO, any of the NATO countries would be foolish to give up any of the own weapon systems to ukraine. constant begging for more weapons is just tiring, the outcome is already set, impossible to ukraine to recover any of the lost land.
nah it take russia 40 years at current pace to take ukraine, and their economy will be bankrupt well before then with putin printing money to finance the war.

@@LoveBagpipes yes, that was one of his big moves when he told that Oligarch Oleg Deripaska to sign that paper.. I think for the 4 week training they were talking about was from our ANA (Afghan National Army) build up where we did basic instruction and marksmanship in about 4 weeks
Almost always, when significant territories where there was previously a defense are quickly captured, a certain number of soldiers who did not have time to retreat are captured. This is especially true for those who were injured. The use of drones does not allow the evacuation of the wounded by car. Such evacuation is possible only in relatively safe areas of the front. As for missile strikes, Ukraine, as usual, shoots down almost everything, if you listen to its statements. But at the same time, everything that these missiles flew into explodes. Apparently, of course, from fright. How Zelensky helps Russia gain a strategic victory over the West. Zelensky is forcing the West to provide him with the most expensive weapon he has. First, to protect Soviet power plants from missiles worth ten thousand dollars and unmanned aerial vehicles worth even less. Billion dollar air defense systems, a volley of missiles that could cost ten million dollars, attack a ten thousand dollar target flying towards a couple million dollar power plant. And it's hard to blame Zelensky for that, he has to somehow protect what he has left. It's more about what an air defense system shouldn't be. If you are creating a technique, it should be possible to use it. If you are having problems because of the simple application of your technique, then you are creating problems, not technique. Zelensky needs other missiles to fire at the removable structures of the Crimean Bridge, which currently does not bother anyone except Zelensky. These missiles were designed to hit critical targets, the destruction of which gives a decisive advantage in the war. Zelensky likes to take Western technologies of unimaginable value and use them to hammer a nail into the toilet in the backyard. The strike zone of a missile such as Iskander is tens of meters, it is not required to fly exactly at the target.

I guess you could crunch basic down for standard riflemen and normal infantrymen. We had 2 months I believe or 3? Can't quite remember, but it included like formation marching and alot of other sidestuff you won't necessarily put in there if you are rushing it. Or long marches of 20-30 kms with gear over and over. And if you do do theory in the morning and some physical fitness and shooting in the evening every day I guess you can get away with 4 weeks. Especially when the instructors have the motivational argument of wartime. Its not the same as training in peacetime. Its not the best training, but if these troops are put nearer to the front they learn from experience pretty fast. I doubt they send new recruits straight to the front, that would certainly be suicide.

The mobilization effort has been hampered in part by concerns over the open-ended timeline of a combat tour, frustrations with low pay and concerns that Ukraine’s government will not properly care for the families of those killed or wounded, the lawmaker said. “We see so many deaths and so many wounded,” the lawmaker said. “If they go, [troops] want to know how long they will be there.”

Berdychi has been pounded to dust.
That's amazing.
It's just like you've actually been there.
A channel of Patrick Lancaster's and just as accurate.

Considering the previous narrative that Russia is such a threat to NATO, any of the NATO countries would be foolish to give up any of the own weapon systems to ukraine. constant begging for more weapons is just tiring, the outcome is already set, impossible to ukraine to recover any of the lost land.
nah it take russia 40 years at current pace to take ukraine, and their economy will be bankrupt well before then with putin printing money to finance the war.
the more military aid you give to ukraine, the more expensive and longer the war lasts, and the more roubles putin has to print for longer. means his economy goes kaput with hyperinflation well before then. thats the goal of the economic war.
That is true. But they at least need to slow the advance and look a bit stronger going into any peace negotiations.

@@More_Row you can only talk for yourself colonialist
Sure thing general.

They would probably be better off giving the 61 billion to Hillary Clinton. I'm sure she could find some people from Haiti or Libya to join the ukranian army.
@@attilamarics3374 The total package for all countries is 95 billion, Ukraine is getting 61 billion. Most of it is going toward the US making more weapons to send to Ukraine, 13.8 is for Ukraine to buy weapons with on top of that, and 9 billion is economic assistance.
I think part of the reason it is over 2 years is because some of the weapons we are making in that time frame.
