I guess G.M made a flopp! I'm a diehard G.M fan; but my money would have been on the ford Explorer. Most of General motors good vehicles are Rwd, body on frame. Even though I'm not a ford fan, I'd prefer a 2010 only ford Explorer of Rwd G.M Suburban S.U.V. to an disposable Acadia.
Acadias are junk. The motors need timing chains after 100,000, electrical issues up the ass, underside rusts out easily. They're GM's disposable SUV
ive done a 2nd set of chains on some under 100k they are gravy boats for mechaincs

The gmc is a pile of junk that needs new parts all the time so no one would bother and the toyota is so reliable, no one needs parts for them, although I am a little mad that they destroy a toyota but whatever
The explorer is old enough to where it still has a true frame and good ground clearance. you could see the front end of the unibody gmc acadia clipping the ground on multiple occasions. seems like most newer cars have a low front end.

These are unreliable american garbages which lost all their values when the warranty is done. These are disposables cars. You will never see anyone doing the same thing with a 10 year old Toyota 4 Runner, because they are well built, and always reliable over the years and keep their values

I'm not surprised that the Explorer outlasted the Acadia. Although that generation Explorer was known for timing chain and transmission issues, it was beat to crap here and still ran. Explorers are always better off road too.

That Acadia is no older than 2007. It's crazy how newer cars have aged better than cars from the 90's and earlier. In 2007 i wouldn't be as surprised seeing a 1997 model year car in the junkyard or being destroyed as a beater. Dang time flies. I can't believe it's nearly been a decade since 2008.

All you had to do to get the explorer running is to rip out the passenger side rocker panel and push the button on the fuel reset. When you hit a hard bump it shuts off the fuel.

Fuel pumps are all plastic so if that don't work then I'd imagine the pump is all sorts of busted from them jumps

Not a fair comparison😁. I'm a gm guy but the fun fact of this is that explorer vs a trailblazer/envoy from that year (of course with the v8s) or the front wheel drive explorer vs that Acadia
I did that with cars from the 60's and 70's. I think they lasted longer. It sure was a blast. Nice to see the tradition live on.

On gm vehicles if you hold the traction control button for about 10 seconds it shuts off all stabli track and traction control, and it will say on the dash that’s it’s off

Amazing how everyone talks shit about the Acadias. "they stretch timing chains at 100k".The Acadia weighs 4800 pounds empty. Spare me. Most Imports need the timing belt replaced between 80 to 100 thousand as maintenance. In other words you have to do it. So why is that okay but if the timing chain chain gets stretched the cars shit? Makes sense to me. I think this video proves the obvious. The Acadia took a lot of abuse. It also got around the track faster than the v8 Explorer in the early part of the video. Not a small feat considering its heavier and has a 6 cylinder.

The Explorer is a V6. I think they tripped the fuel safety cut off when the jumped it.

Those Explorers arent exactly great vehicles, but those Acadias are pure junk. They have problems even when they arent abused
