- I'm back with another Spalsh Paints product review. This time I use the all new 1K Primer while I take on the 2020 Toyota GR Supra model by Tamiya. This will be my first full car build. Wish me luck.

Lol I had forgotten you had that Supra to work on! I can’t wait to see it when you finish it bro!
Did you ever shoot the follow-up video to this one?
Would be interested to see how the final finish turned out using the Splash paints (over the Splash primer).
I just finished a perfect grade Gundam and I used splash paints for the very first time on it. The paint turned out great! I also did a 2k clear coat and it took me a week to sand and polish the finish. I'm not impressed with the 2k. Won't be using it again. The Gaianotes gloss clear is way easier to work with and a much nicer finish.
Jason Combs did you spray them correctly? For me it comes out really nice
@@heiden2413 ya, I gave it 3 coats. Then sanded and another coat. Sanded and polished. Took a week and was way too much work.
The 2K is definitely a beast of it's own. I've noticed that it does not like to be buffed at all. I mix my 2K with a 3:1:1 ratio. Adding one part of thinner helps it go down much smoother.
Jason Combs they must be compounded with automotive compounds like meguiars 105 and 205 and 2K clears are best polished with machine. I just saw their post for 3:1:0.5(thinner) and levels out completely smooth
Did you ever finish this paint job?
I did not like their primer. I've had hit or miss luck with the paint. Some are way too hot, others have been spectacular.
