    ciao Patrick

An opinion about the Brunel traffic? Clouseau was there, obviously... (Now is much required Cruchot!) Beautiful vehicles, I love the Trabis (I think I've seen at least two of them)... I have the IFA "Sternquell", exactly the same, it's given by my nephew Luca (which is also the head chief of rail station on my layout). I like the idea of ramp for the trucks and also the way of access you intend for them (I applied it for the road when intersecting the level crossing barriers). Oh, about street markings: I used masking tape (some kind of paper made) and white paint with paintbrush. Where there were imperfections, after it dried I very carefully scratched the surplus of paint with a tiny pointy object. I still have to paint a few lines, not very complicated, but, as you said somewhere recently... "out of laziness".... 😁☺Good day, Patrick!!
PS - A buffer related fixing or improvement can be considered... opera buffa?

@@Cristake1974 I've glued that wandering buffer back in place. For the road markings I'll also use thin paper tape and my white marker pen. For the yellow BUS lettering at the bus stop I'll make a template. The Sternquell Ifa w50 is a very well made model, when compared to the two plastic Prefo Permot ones (have you noticed them on the layout) all dimensions correspond. The Ifa w50 is one of my favourite socialist block lorries, I remember seeing Hungarian ones on the Italian A4 motorway in the early 90s and when I was in Hungary in 1992 and 1995. I remember seeing my first Romanian AB Roman artics on the A4 motorway in the mid 80s, they seemed to always have dark red cabs.

If you substituted a Jouef double slip, in place of the diamond, it would create a more sensible shunting arrangement. It would add a short runaround loop in the freight handling zone and also allow access to both the container crane sidings, from the curved head shunt track.

I really like the station building especially with lighting. I think I would have preferred the name St. Anier as I have a dislike of anything GWR! The flyover road bridge is a good idea - I could imagine it running close by the water tower and curving around and down to ground level near the signal box. Room for a few parking spaces under the flyover.

@@attuslebeard5133 I thought of Brunel more for his role of engineering pioneer and because his name works well in various languages. I'm quite neutral on British railway companies, even if I have to admit my heart lies with LMS and its pre-grouping constituents, with CR on the podium. Your idea for the flyover is excellent, I'll see what I can do. What materials do you suggest?

@@patricksmodels You're right about Brunel - I should acknowledge his wider achievements. I think the over abundance and duplication of GWR models compared to other railways (especially my local North Eastern) has something to do with my bias. Yes I rather like the Caledonian too - I've a couple of their beautiful blue locos. My thought for the flyover would be to use the Hornby 'inclined piers' with a styrene or thick card road surface. Another possiblity would be to download and print the RO12 concrete bridge from Scalescenes.

1/87 cars are expensive but yet 1:64 is dirt cheap. A lot of older lima accessories are not that easy to find in the US, although some can be found rebranded model power or AHM. It's the lamps that are harder to find and so are the sound emitting stations and the operating engine house.
I have seen a few lima US prototype sets branded PMI, and model power in various condition.

@@raymondleggs5508 when I was younger and foolish I remember paying good money for some 1/87 model vehicles, now that I'm older, but still foolish 😉, I only go for very low bargain prices, mostly aiming at vintage production models, like the East German Prefo Permot trucks I bought recently.
I've got a Lerino Lima railway station with the bell, operated by the usual G type ringfield motor. I'm planning to use it on the small country line layout I'm going to build this winter, once I finish this one. I'll dedicate a video to the station and tag you.

You could do to add an auto repair shop, to Brunel. It could be a FIAT specialist (Fix It Again Tomorrow), LOTUS (Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious), FSO (Fix Something Often) or FORD (Fix Or Repair Daily).

Lucas motorcycle electrics were troublesome, but nowhere near as bad as those found on the 1970's Benelli 2C (my younger brother owns one). The switches were bright, florescent yellow & green, so that owners could find them, on the ground, after they'd detached from the bike when riding at night.
