    Great stuff. How do we know if we have the two speed pump?

      It will have electrical connectors on it. The single speed will not.

    Thank you for your video is very helpful, I’m getting ready to change my own water pump. I’m very much mechanically inclined. Working on my own cars and things. And I took a good look at this pump and I seen it’s easy enough to change out., But I just want to know am I going to need a pulley puller. Please let me know I should have the brand new pump by tomorrow which is the 28th. And I should get started probably by the 29th.

      No, you shouldn't need one as long as it's just a single speed pump. As you can see at 0:48 the pulley is just bolted on. You may need one if it's the other style pump with a drive clutch on the pulley. I'm not sure if you can get away with not using a puller because I've never had to replace one of these.

    My question to you is, do I need a water pump for a 2014 DD 15 Cascadia evolution. Napa, and fleet pride, quoted me a price of $55.49. I’m sitting at Freightliner right now, and they quoted me a price for that same engine, $750 with the LandstarDiscount, can you tell me if the aftermarket water pumps are of same quality. I’ve even called my nephew in New Jersey, he called the Freightliner up there it was even more over $800 for the part, and when he put me on a three-way call the auto parts Napa, NAPA told me the price was $55. Can I get your opinion please.

      I'm afraid I have no experience with aftermarket pumps for these. With a price difference like that, it may be worth looking into.

    Nowhere near DD60 12.7 this is the new stuff

    • @TheDieseler
      @TheDieseler  Před 5 lety

      That's because the 12.7 was a Series 60. These are DD engines.
