    So it sounds like taking the peptides legitimately will heal you, but if you have a degenerative condition it’s going to regress, given that the preventative measure is now gone. Honestly it sounds like a miracle drug for anyone with a torn ligament/tendon

    TB4 gave me nasty side effects.

      To confirm, compounding pharmacy through a doctors prescription? Which pharmacy was it? And was this recent? Tb4 has been gone from compounding pharmacies for almost 2 years now.
      It's extremely rare for there to be endotoxins from compounding pharmacies as they test every single batch that goes out. But, that doesn't mean impossible.
      Tb4 does have some immune modulating properties from it's parent thymosin peptide, and we occasionally saw some mild immune side effects from Tb4, but nothing that intense.

Please don’t mind, I’m a vegan and I’ve been carrying terrible injuries throughout the body for years. The most common starting dose we use with patients is 500mcg, once per day on an empty stomach (note I use it for MSK issues as I only treat people with MSK pain). The time of day doesn't really matter in our opinion. We normally have patients take BPC-157 for at least a month to determine if they see improvements, but sometimes it takes longer to see effects as tissue healing takes time. We then have patients continue on the BPC-157 for several months, and then we might trial taking them off to see if their symptoms remained improved or if they regress. If they regress, we put them back on it.

    Which one is best for EDS?

    • @DrewTimmermansND
      @DrewTimmermansND  Před měsícem

      Both. Some patients with EDS have had some issues with BPC-157 over the years, especially when there is underlying MCAS, but we still trial it in those patients. If you're struggling with joint pain from the EDS though, it would be worth considering seeking out some PRP or stem cell therapy injections. We have found this to have the greatest impact once we get the right supplements and peptides on board.
      But for the peptides, I will caution you with this. Currently the injectable peptides cannot be obtained through a compounding pharmacy, which means people are left to purchase them from online websites. These websites don't have the sterility level of a compounding pharmacy, and we have seen too many people get dosed with endotoxins because of the sterility issues. Some patients just get local red reactions, but we've seen some other pretty serious side effects because of this. So strong word of caution on buying injectable peptides online.

    Would any peptides help a herniated disc?

      I'm searching for the same problem. It's been 3 years now and still in pain every now and then. I have been working a lot on my core and glutes but it doesn't seem to get better

      The peptides may be helpful for reducing pain in some people, but truthfully you should be looking into intradiscal PRP injections. This is what we do in our clinic for herniated discs. I also had this done on myself 8 months ago, and I'm >95% better from a single high dose PRP injection into my L4/L5 and L5/S1 discs.

    How long can you take bpc 157 oral?

    What about side effects while taking. I notice if I dose 500mcg orally Mon-Fri, by Wed and Thurs I have a lasting headache. Is there anyway to minimize these? Is this a concern and indication to stop taking completely?

      Hmmm interesting. You could try dropping your dose to 250mcg subQ as you probably don't need 500mcg subq
