- Foreigner performs "I Want To Know What Love Is" live at the Farm Aid concert in Champaign, Illinois on September 22, 1985. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

It has almost 54 million views. Compare it to the views of the other performances from Farm aid 1985. Big difference. I believe people can see the quality of this great performance.

I've seen Foreigner 4 times in the 1980's and Lou gave 100000% each time He stepped on that stage. You certainly got your moneys worth when you saw these guys. For some reason I got really choked up hearing this song. Some say Plant, Mercury but my pick is Lou for the best voice in rock.

It's not the song, it's the performance. Lou was visibly not well and his voice is audibly not stable.
As a 21 year old guy when this came out, I used to go out at lunch time and sit in my car and play this song full volume on my car cassette tape. Really moved me and made me think about life, love and what really matters in life. Very powerful song and 30 years later, it still moves me today...
