Yeah, Kai auditions his dance team and many are choreographers and got to choreograph for Kai later on as well. It's like a badge of honour to be in Kai's team as a dancer. Several of his dancers (male and female) even participated in dance shows with the fame they got in Kai's team.

One of the choreographers of reason was the girl behind him in the start. In like live performances it's typically both choreographers which is Vata and Bada with him.

I would love for you all to gather and watch Street Woman Fighter season 2 (or even just battle highlights/crew videos available at The CHOOM). It's a dance crew battle survival show which currently has 8 crews including 6 Korean (1Million, Deep N DAP, Bebe, Mannequeen, Wolf’lo, Ladybounce), 1 global (Jam Republic led by Kirsten Dodgen) and 1 Japanese (Tsubakill led by Akamen)

Idk if u remember my comment about being slightly ahead or behind the music and then u mentioned taemin(being slightly fast), she mentioned the timing and adding to my old comment Kai’s timing is similar to Brian puspos in the way that they make it seem as if the music is coming from their body

Me gustan estas mujeres porque ya han dado su evaluación personal de los que son considerados los mejores bailarines del kpop. Y su opinión siempre ha sido dura y honesta con todos. No estoy de acuerdo en muchas de sus criterios como cuando juzgaron a Taemin y Ten pero respeto su sinceridad. Aquí incluso les cayó a los bailarines de respaldo xd.
Por un lado es bueno.porque muestran neutralidad,uno como fans los ven como perfectos a veces,pero es tambien bueno ver que opinan las personas que solo son expectadores de momentos ,Ten y Taemin son poderosos en baile pero no se si ellos desde niños estudiaron seriamente como kai en una escuela de baile, con los años tienes la tecnica y pules tu estilo,kai tiene a pesar de ser de sm un estilo propio ,para mi tae es grandioso pero es estilo casi total de sm y eso no le quita encanto porque es un placer verlo bailar y ten se me hace parecido a lay de exo , un estilo mas libre, los 3 son buenos aunque para mi aclaro kai es lo maximo jajaja porque soy exol
It's not really about the backup dancers toning it down. Kai is just different at dancing. Every move he does is well thought.

actually during practices, the back up dancers can't keep up with the subltle movements that Kai does save for the choreographer Bada Lee who choreograhed this piece. She danced with Kai in his bside " Vanilla" of the Peaches album. If the rough practices you can see how only Kai can keep up

Kai is a better performer than a technical dancer.
He really draws attention for his "sexy aura" his energetic dance and his 101 facial expressions.
his fans hype his ballet and jazz background when
his current technique doesn't reallly reflect any ballet or jazz foundation anymore.
Without that foundation he wouldn’t dance the way he does. It’s kinda insulting and dismissive to chalk his skill and ability to “energy” and facial expressions.

I have read many comments saying that he is better because he has ballet/jazz training
he had some ballet and jazz training when he was young and there are certains aspects to his aesthetic choices that are somewhat influenced by it (eg looking clean,and precise) but unlike popular opinion his current technique doesn't reflect jazz/ballet foundations
his strongly hunched posture when he dances is a deal breaker in ballet-adjacent styles.
@@jaetine9006don't even start with her, she's literally everywhere spreading her hate and saying Kai's 2 decades of daily training for hours don't mean anything, "he's just sexy". I doubt she even watched the reaction. Body control, balance, musicality and many other terms don't mean anything to her. Hundreds of choreographers and dancers stay impressed by Kai and can dissect for hours why exactly he's great, but this one will always write that Kai has no technique, just sexiness. I fully accept that there are "blind" and "deaf" people, or somebody so extremely stubborn that they won't accept what goes against their agenda. I always have only one question: why they watch Kai's videos and comment? If there's Kai in a video, he will be praised and chosen the best for sure. A bit masochistic to watch somebody you don't like and then listen to professionals praise him 🤣 and these were dance practices, not stage performances, he was in a mask and too busy dancing to exude his sex appeal and charisma, yet she wrote he's just sexy.... How these two sisters could see it in a dance practice that's all about technique??? Kai's so good he makes people angry their fav isn't as good and loved by professionals
I can't even see my expression because I'm wearing a mask, so what expression are you talking about? This is a video where you can purely evaluate dance. Kai is the best.
Kai didn't just learn ballet and jazz. He learned ballet and jazz when he was young, and after joining SM, he learned all genres such as poppin, hip-hop, modern dance, and urban. Longer than I learned ballet and jazz. He still goes to a dance academy to learn how to dance. Ballet and jazz are his basics, but Kai can dance more genres than you think.
