    Jeremy, on another playlist, can you describe your daily activities when you first became a network engineer? Were you mostly inputting configurations from a senior engineer? Were you handling trouble tickets? Were you creating new network plans? Were you installing routers at a punch down block? Did you need to know Linux, or Microsoft server? What is your highest Cisco cert now? What is your job now?

    i thought switches have no collition domains, they send and receive frames one different wires in full duplex, (eg; 1,2 for receiving 3,6 for sending i think). so at time 14:30 there are 2 collision domains.
    or am I missing something?

I also wanted to leave a short notice about your highlight pen color but I later saw that you changed the color for the last questions. For the first quiz, the reason might be the 'aging' process that's by default in the switch right ?

    • @JeremysITLab
      @JeremysITLab  Před 3 lety

      Yeah that's correct, either the aging process or it simply hasn't learned the MAC address yet.

    • @mwmadeserte9119
      @mwmadeserte9119 Před 3 lety

      @@JeremysITLab Thanks Sir for your reply, but how can it be possible that the switch hasn't learned the MAC @ yet knowing that PC1 already did via the ARP process. Because in the quiz, it's mentioned that "PC1 sends a frame to PC3's MAC @". So PC1 already has an entry in its arp table. And therefore, SW1 also did right ? Because of the ARP reply when it hit SW1. That's why Im a little bit confused with the 2nd reason or I may have missed something.

    • @JeremysITLab
      @JeremysITLab  Před 3 lety

      @@mwmadeserte9119 You could, for example, configure a static ARP entry in PC1's ARP table.

    • @kadirkhan-th6rx
      @kadirkhan-th6rx Před 3 lety

      @@mwmadeserte9119 @Jeremy's IT Lab I think you are a little confused with the ARP aging time and the mac-address aging time (also called as CAM table)
      The default ARP aging time is 4 hours but the switch hold the CAM table entires only for 5 minutes.
