    I got a chance to listen to the entire Stax line when I was in Japan last summer. Otherworldly sound! Just SO good.

    Would anyone recommend vintage STAX as an introduction into electrostats?

      Absolutely, the old lambdas and SR-5/X are all really good headphones.

    I'm not that familiar with electrostatic headphones. Why are the cables flat? Is there an engineering reason for it?

    Seems disappointing. $5500+ for tubes that can be used in a Schiit Vali 2 that cost $169.
