I disagree, but hear me out. This scene is much better than most, for a couple of reasons. First of all, they intentionally give away that they’re part-time thugs and no where near as hardcore as they want people to think by the ‘mine’s the read one’ and the hospital is about 30 minutes away depending on traffic comments. Second, he goes through those guys pretty quickly so everyone gets the proverbial ‘everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth’ notification that this is more than just scaring the local patrons, which is what they are being paid to do. In that context, this is a pretty fair scene.

@@stevelibby6852 I agree on the CTE. I trained MMA for over a decade, nothing special, but still trained and earlier in life played D1 safety, so I’m fit and reasonably athletic. While I always tried to avoid fights outside of controlled sparing and a few tournaments, the few times pushes came to blows there were a lot more guys standing around watching and hesitating than jumping into the fray. Just my limited experience.
@@SignalCorps1 Free world, everyone do what they want, I won't tell anyone how to live, but I think the marketing of the MMA is a long term health concern for society. Plus it gives some people unreasonable confidence when it should not.
And then he personally drove them to the hospital to make sure they'd be ok. Have to say that l really enjoyed this film despite a few very ridiculous elements.

He did a fine job acting, his character was just terrible. Like when he stole the jacket and set the whole place on fire? Stupidest writing I've ever seen.

I enjoyed the music bands on the bar...they were good. Beside that...the fights choreography were ok and that's it.

A nice touristy looking place like this isn't going to have fights like this. The white trashy Double Deuce in the original was a much more realistic setting.

If you haven’t seen the original, stop mentioning how it feels like an 80s movie (in a bad way) and the awkward elements. It’s part of the film, man 😂 they’re butchering the tropes and making you feel the absurdity of the entire thing as you watch it. Dalton even asks “why is everyone so aggressive?” And then the plot answers why. Pay homage to the OG version, then pay attention guys
they shared a name roadhouse and Dalton other than that it could stand on its own

This is an example of what's wrong with today, back in the 70's to 90's fights were one on one, only time you'd get involved was to stop it when loser could get really hurt. Most ended with loser giving in. Recent 20 years 3 plus on one and they think their great, NO just a bunch of cowards no honor or self pride. If others tried joining in then whole Bar would beat the crap out of whole group.
I'm sure history is filled with cowards who fought against 1 man. To quote Dalton from the movie - "Nobody wins in a fight.

I think , the original is better, but i haven't seen this one
Sure the plot was dumb but this movie was fun as hell to watch - full of a bunch of gratuitous fight scene and hilarious one-liners. The casting was great (MacGregor was the perfect ahole), the soundtrack even better, and both the camerawork and choreography amazing.
Moe was the best in that movie.
