Huddle von Simone Forti in der Neuen Nationalgalerie

Die Neue Nationalgalerie zeigte während der Berlin Art Week vom 14. bis 18. September 2022 in der oberen Halle „Huddle“, eine aus dem Jahr 1961 stammende Arbeit der US-amerikanischen Künstlerin und Choreografin Simone Forti. „Huddle“ ist Teil der bahnbrechenden und international einflussreichen Serie „Dance Constructions“, die Forti Anfang der 1960er-Jahre begann und die in Yoko Onos Loft in Manhatten uraufgeführt wurden. „Huddle“ gilt als entscheidendes Werk in der Entwicklung der Konzeptkunst, des Minimalismus und Performance Kunst und kommt als Leihgabe aus der Sammlung des New Yorker Museum of Modern Art in die Neue Nationalgalerie.

During Berlin Art Week from 14 to 18 September 2022, Neue Nationalgalerie showed Huddle, a work by American artist and choreographer Simone Forti from 1961 in the upper hall. Huddle is part of the groundbreaking and internationally influential series Dance Constructions, which began in the early 1960s and premiered in Yoko Ono's loft in Manhattan. Huddle is regarded as a decisive work in the development of conceptual art, minimalism and performance art and comes on loan from the collection of Museum of Modern Art, New York to the Neue Nationalgalerie.
