I think the key to not making acne look worse under makeup is blending foundation/concealer out with your fingers and avoiding powder as much as possible like she did. I find that brushes and powders can emphasize the texture/acne on your skin and sponges remove moisture and coverage.
it’s sick how well she “covered” up her acne❤️ but can we just admire how beautiful she looks even with acne?!

She is so relatable and down to earth! It's so nice to find a tutorial for textured and acne prone skin. Makeup is harder when you don't have a smooth, perfect surface to work with like majority of beauty gurus.

No one seems to care that it's called the "everyday makeup tutorial" and the expectation is that these products in the video are what she uses everyday.

I loved her! So honest and transparent and beautiful! Great way to advertise Maybelline’s products.
I use 2 pumps of the Maybelline fit me foundation. I've learnt that applying any foundation to your problem area's only then blending out works best & u end up using alot less. For me problem area's are under my eyes & sides of my mouth. I'd probably use 1 pump of the superstay with this technique. No more cake face.

I guess it only looks got on camera but not in real life...covering acne without looking cakey is super difficult
that’s the same with using your phone as well, i see myself in the mirror and it looks gross but it looks okay on camera. i think it’s also just the way we perceive ourselves bc we know where our acne spots are whereas someone else would probably only see the makeup.
