Shalom brothers, I understand that the bible never condemned multiple wives. In my opinion, only if the Most High permit two wives I would agree.. Most isralite men had only 1 wife. Breakdown: Adam & Eve- 1 wife Noah & his wife - 1 wife Abraham & Sarah- Abraham married his half-sister. Sarah added Hagar - 2 wives. Sarah died, and Abraham married Keturah- 1 wife. Issac & Rebekah - 1 wife Jacob- Leah & Rachael - 2 wives. The two of them add their maids.(envy was going on between the sisters). Anyway, Rachel died leaving her sister Leah Joseph & Asenath- 1 wife Moses & Ziporah- 1 wife David had multiple wives and his son Solomon and the list goes on. The conclusion of the matter is fear God and keep his commandment because this is the whole duty of man.

Question: 1st let say that I believe God's word is righteous and never contradicts. My question is, some of these Biblical figures you have described took wives from other nations, but the Bible says not to do so. Can someone offer me a biblical understanding on this subject?
