Brian Dennehy was a great actor. He had incredible versatility. He was an excellent good guy and a convincing bad one. He did an amazing performance as McElroy in the Skimore Missouri case and a frightening John Wayne Gacy. I always thought he was an unconventionally handsome man.

Jack Reed reminds me of Columbo and Kojak combined. Both always knew from the beginning who the guilty culprits were and allowed them to reveal themselves in just a matter of time. All the actors did an outstanding job in portraying these characters. Bravo!

From what I´ve seen, Dennehy only makes good movies.

The expressions Denehy produces are priceless; ie. the car was stolen last night..?
So sad for that kid..but great movie
Ironic that Dennehy busted the X-ray tech for lying about his military service when in real life Dennehy lied about serving in Vietnam. (Read Stolen Valor.) He later admitted he lied but wow, that was disappointing to learn. You have to wonder if he was thinking about that when he was playing that scene.
Did not know this. I suppose we should *not* be surprised; so many actors aren't role models!!

Why is it in movies and TV movies, the hero pretty much works alone. Colleagues and comrades never want to listen to or work with the hero. Always in fighting. Frustrating to watch a movie where this is a common theme. If it wasn’t for Brian Dennehy, I wouldn’t be watching this movie. Just my opinion!
