All my life I was never taught about this sin and I didn't even know it was forbidden unt55il I was in my fifties. Once I found out what horrible damage I had done, I sank into despair and hopelessness; you and Rabbi Reuven and Rabbi Mizrachi have been an enormous help to me and at least now I know it's possible to climb out of the hellish hole I've created for myself. Does fasting actually redeem the souls of the wasted seed or is it a means to stop sinning in P’gam HaBrit? How long must one fast in order for it to be considered as real t’shuvah by HaShem? Fasting, also with water, helps to eradicate the night emissions. The night emissions usually happen on a full or new moon due to the increased tides. After 30 or 40 days of Semen Retention there is many benefits, including the female attraction, many women staring everywhere you go

But to prevent wasting seed a 3 day water fast will be great. And the nocturnal emissions happen on the full or new moon due to the increased tides, any body of water is effected, such as the Oceans, so I water fast on those days to prevent it. Whenever it happened it was mostly on those days. Also not eating or drinking 3 hours before sleeping, headstand, ice bath, will 100% stop the wasting of seed at night. Sin of the generation of the flood was not wasting seed as you say it says their seed was corrupted it was because they married whoever they liked including their female descendants which means that there seed ie their children were currupted as in Mamzerim this is why it was impossible to redeem the generation of the flood via Teshuvah! Except for Noah for he was of a righteous lineage that kept records and were careful to never to take descendant woman as a wife.

Yes ofc you can. However as for fasting - in all due respect to the Holy Rav Amir - I beg to differ. Rabbi Yitzhak Luria z"l said each time you waste seed you have to fast 84 times CONSECUTIVELY. And since this generation is weak, no one can really do all the 84 fast consecutively, meaning you can fast some 20 days, and stop a few days, and fast again. You can try to donate tzedakah as a way for all these fast, and if one stumble in this sin countless times, he is recommended to donate for 84 meals 3 times a year. Sweat and toil while doing mitzvot, like helping ppl, learning Torah or prayer is also good, for each drop you sweat during doing mitzvot it atones for 1 drop of seed. And also, say Tikkun Haklali immediately the day you stumbled in this sin. Say it everyday if you can. Don't give up if you God forbid stumble again. I believe in you brother! Remember that there are 80 bl3ssings for one who guards himself and don't waste seed, and 80 curses for one who waste seed.
