UPDATE - If available you can now access the file explorer by swiping down twice and look for the SD Explorer on the left.
Thank you so much for this, it was doing my head in and I was hoping for an update from DJI to sort the controller. Saved the day. Does seem such a long way of getting to remove the files. Thank you so much
Thanks for letting me know. I did think if it's driving me mad it'll be driving others mad. They absolutely have to sort it out with a firmware update. It has been escalated to the tech team.
Thanks a lot!
You're welcome buddy
You’re a freaking life saver
🤣 thanks buddy. Its a bit nuts. When I now swipe down the SD explorer has now re-appeared on the lower left and I can access the folders from there now. Might be something to do with Halloween 👻
Thanks a lot. That solved my problem.
Brilliant
Thank you for showing this process. It’s not intuitive at all.
I know right, drove me mad 🤣
THX!!!!
Glad it helped
Thank you so much sir for greatest information about this its realy help me a lot👍👍
Hey buddy. If you do the firmware update you will now be able to save to your SD card and access the files by swiping down twice and selecting the drives on the left.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Thank you and God Bless
i subscribe your channel sir ,i would like to learn more and grow.thank you so much
Thanks pal, welcome aboard 🫡 let me know if you're stuck with anything.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency yes sir thank you so much
👍👍👍
Glad it helped
Bit of a long winded work around. What i do is plug the controller into the Mac, and then select the internal memory and drag and drop it. Wondered if you have tried that way? I agree, it a pain and you should be able to save it directly to the SD card.
Ah, Nobby. Pleased to meet you, you've actually helped me with a few issues, thanks buddy. Yes, this is the other option DJI gave me but nothing shows up on the Mac. I've also tried to view the Mac from the controller, but that also doesn't show. I am going through a usb hub. So not sure what's happening there, any ideas?
It’s not just me then. Thx for the work around. I hope DJI fix it soon as it’ll drive everyone bonkers otherwise. I’m also having problems with offline maps not saving. Might it be a related issue?
Well in my RC tutorial video, not sure if you have seen it, but when I quickly showed how to use naps it didn't display as my RC. So I will go and take a look layer and give you an update.
Hi buddy,
Just had a flight and checked maps. I was able to save and name an area and then retrieve it. Retrieving the file was very slow and just showed a small area. So I'll be doing further testing. BTW I just did a firmware update first.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Thx Tim, having re-watched your offline maps tutorial I am following it much better now, and have got to the same point you have. Like the ‘screen save’ I find DJI's methods not very intuitive. Thx for your help. 👍 Peter.
Best Explained Video on File Transfers. PROBLEM - On the RC2 (never had the RC) on the RC2 I can only see my Mini 4 videos from "Album" on the initial screen with the bridge, I can see and play all of them. I cannot find these video in the file structure of the RC2 I can successfully connect the RC2 to laptop and get "Screenshots & Screen Recording with Audio" but I cannot find or see or access my movies / drone footage at all after hours of trying. QUESTION - Can you help me get them ? I would like to download them to my computer. Thanks You
Yes, simply take the SD card out of the drone and put it into a card reader and slot into your computer and navigate to the files this way. Just drag and drop.
NOnononono I want the low res footage off of the RC2 controller, let's pretend the drone flew away, far far away, niver to return and all that is left is the low res videos on the controller (RC2). Do you know where they are in the file structure and if so how to get them on a computer. I've spent hours trying and cannot find a thing however I can play them all day long from the RC2 under "Album" on the home screen. @@SlipstreamCreativeAgency
@timcolton4680 ah, you need to get the cache file. But if you have a Flyaway you need to have Flight Data Synced, then you have all the flight information and flightpath
I noticed that the frame rate of the recorded video from the screen are allways different. Do you know why? and how to set a fixed frame rate?
I've never noticed. Have you found it's caused any issues?
No it doesn't have 32 gb of storage... almost 10 gb of that is reserved for the system files.
True, it's pants.
Hello ,Usb-c from controller to computer usb-c?
Hi, you can do that but it was about finding the file. The new firmware update has resolved that.
I went laps with this. C’mon DJI, fix this and make it an easier experience.
With this workaround, I can move files out of internal storage onto my MicroSD card, another serious issue I am having is that the audio and video are grossly out of sync. It is the video file because it plays that way when I play it back on the controller.
I thought it might be the Hollyland M1 wireless MIC. But it appears that without the MIC connected, there is lag in the video.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks for this! 🙏
I noticed you're saying that without the mic connected there's a lag. How do you know if there is no sound? Do you mean a lag between your drone footage and the RC screen recording?
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency I know because I mentally count to three (same cadence) between when I tap on the various menus on the screen. For example, the moment I tap on the “Bluetooth” icon I count to three. Then I tap on it again (to disable it), I count to three. The moment I click on “Profiles” I count to three. The moment I swipe out to go back to the “Home” screen, I count to three, etc.
When I play the video back from the controller, I can tell there is a lag much more than three seconds. A lag of 6-7 seconds.
I checked on the DJI Forum and a lot of people are having the same issue. Not sure if this is an IOS problem. Android devices seem to be OK.🙏
I see, so you're not using the controller. I have an android and just got the N2 controller with the mini4 pro (because they won't sell it on its own even though I have the RC and I can sink both drones to it 😱) so rant over, I will try it out and let you know. Of course it could be the phone operating system if its an old phone. Just a thought.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Sorry for the confusion, I am using the RC2 controller. What I was referring to was the controller seems to have the Android OS. When I format the MicroSD, I see “Android” and many nested folders within it.
While I do not know why the video/audio is out of sync, I wonder if there is an Android OS to IOS incompatibility. When I move video files from internal to the MicroSD and plug the MicroSD into a card reader on my Mac Mini M1, the files are there but they playback the same as on the controller, even worse.
This is weird.
Thanks for replying.

@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Update on the audio/video sync issue: When the drone is “connected” and I am screen recording on the RC2 controller, , I do not get the out of sync condition. I flew for a couple of hours screen recording and no issues. My bad.
I use Bluetooth to tranfer to pc easy RC2
Cool, I think you're getting just the proxy files, you won't be getting the full resolution files from the drone
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Hi, its just for the screen record
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency I use SD cart in controller. czcams.com/video/XU0XS05KhSE/video.html
This is beyond a joke, i cant get anything on my sd cards, every time i try the internal storage loses more memory , down to 1gb left, on screen if i try to fly it says internal memory full, thats why i bought a flamin sd card so it wouldnt get full, but its nice as a back up. Think i will return the drone this is to much stress.
Dude, hold fire. I think the issue is its the drone internal that's full. Make sure it's set to SD card and not internal by going to the 3 dots at the top. Along to camera and down to storage and make sure it's on SD card (that's where you change the drones storage location).
For the RC, make sure you're moving the screen recordings and not copying them. Delete the recordings on the internal storage and you're done. Let me know how you get on. I'll get you sorted.
Why are you being so difficult? If you just connect your rc via usbc to a pc than you can just cut or copy the files under movies. That takes less than 20 seconds.
True, but won't work on my imac, no idea why, this is the advice DJI gave. Pain In the arsenal.
@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency Same, doesn’t work on my iPad Pro.
It needs DJI to sort the bugs
You need to load the android file transfer app on your Mac, then the files show up.@@SlipstreamCreativeAgency
