How crazy is it that when he is talking about lying on the laminate in the kitchen digging his nails into the floor that he opens the English portion of the song 7 sins with this exact episode! I clawed at the laminate in the kitchen floor pain roamed my body an invited guest bones are a home where the devil can rest.
After watching these videos go back to the video of him calling his mom to tell her his album debuted at number 1. Hits a lot different now not that it didn't hit before. But damn the way they both must have felt at that moment just a few years after all of this!!

It gets deeper, Red. Yet, there is light peeping through. Ch.7 had me discombobulated until I shed some tears.
Freckled Angels is such a great album. Just when you thought his story couldn't get any more remarkable it does. It seems like that burning desire to find out what was wrong with him and get to the bottom of it was actually the root of what kept him going through the years of pain and misery. Instead of giving up he fought and had hope that things would get better.
Pure love for this Artist. I’ll cry with ya Red. We are so blessed to have Ren. Joe saved his life. That’s the reason Joe is his biggest HERO.

Nobody wields the emotional sledgehammer like Ren. He is able to pull you almost against your will into some very dark places, and somehow you feel better afterward.

I love seeing Ren take control of his own narrative.
He is a special talent
Lyme disease can present itself as many neurological conditions including Acute Transverse Myelitis, Ptosis[, Seizures, and Chronic Fatigue. Ren's brain nerve pathways were being attacked like an electrical short. There are patients who deteriorate so much they can't walk anymore. Ren looks so very young in this tune.
This was definitely the toughest one. I have a lot of practice keeping my emotions under control so had gotten through the previous ones just fine, but that image of his mum rubbing his feet and humming like when he was a little boy had tears rolling down my cheeks when I first watched the chapter. And then shortly after he goes “things were about to get a lot worse” 😰
Chapter Six was a tough watch and listen, tough to even watch others react to it because it takes me back into the moment when I watched it for myself. Some circumstances, thoughts, feelings Ren describes like vague reflections my own over the years made it especially challenging. I am in awe that he has been able to articulate them into this spoken word series that has me enthralled.
can you ever say you have heard anyone else every be so frank and honest. would anyone in the top of the corperate charts i.e, taylor, etc. be true as they can. nope. the corperation that owns her and others would not allow it. it wont make them more money. such a brave man to do this. i hope these videos become a cleansing experience for him. thanks red, great as always.
