The silage worked out well. The dock leaves are decimated. It would be great if you could get a beetle like that for the ragworth. I think there is so much of it around because people just are not keeping it under control like you. Enjoy the wedding and Karen that backside is just PERFECT.

Some well looked after animals. Reseeding coming on good. up here in Donegal it hasn't stopped raining since last summer but there's always next year.👍
I don't know if you've seen, but farmer Phil is using a recyclable netting on his bales. That way you can just pull off the wrap end The netting and recycle everything, you don't need to separate the wrap from the netting.
We don't use netting anymore. we use film inside the plastic wrap. I've found it preserves the bales much better than the netting and is a lot easier to remove. it's more expensive but I think it's worth it

If you could get your cow through a bluestone footbath it would help toharden her hoof up. I know a full sized footbath is a lot but even a half kg of bluestone powder in a bucket of warm water ( desolved better) about 5 inches of water and get her foot into it it may help

Hi Karen, I bet you are happy to see a few sunny days for a change. Maybe you could train up your partner in crime (your dad) to operate the camera to capture things on the farm when you are at work. I know it would be asking a lot of him to give us some commentary. The cows and calves are looking great and are enjoying the grass. I was wondering if you and Rob had thought about getting more land, maybe from a farmer nextdoor to expand into the Moynihan Farm? Just a thought, cause it such a great place to bring up children. @@fanfeck2844just outside cork city. Grass all yellow stem just like the last few years. Interesting to see other youtubers up the country complain about drenched fields and inability to save hay. We’ve had glorified drizzle all summer long. Grass completely stunted and stalled out here. Most farmers continuously feeding out this years round bales

We got 10 bales to the acre on first cut but it was a lot wetter than this stuff

Yes he's right. When it's dry it becomes more palatable for the cattle so you always have to pull it and remove it from the field
