I only watched the Harry Hill version of it, but this guy looks pretty entertaining. The only thing I really know it that it died when Harry started to kinda make it a comedy show and tried too hard to make it funny.

I tell you what really annoys me about this programme. When the audience claps before they have even finished singing the first sentence of their song. That really irritates me. Why can't they just clap at the end when they've heard it all the way through and had time to decide whether it was good or shit

Well, Although I applaud ITV for bringing back "Stars in Their Eyes" I'm afraid I found the new Harry Hill version of the show felt more like a farce, a send up, of this once great show. There was just to much stupidity to take it seriously. OK, I know its meant to be entertaining, and it was, up to a point. And, correct me if I'm wrong, but were they "Real Contestants" They seemed more like Actors to me, rather than ordinary members of the public. I'll keep on watching, but for me, you just can't beat the original.

Gary Dunn You're right, Vernon would have been better, he annoyed me at first but I don't mind him on Family Fortunes, he does that pretty well. I always think it's a mistake having comedians presenting anything as they are constantly trying to be funny and more often than not, failing to be funny. I've noticed that from interviews with comedians. They don't seem to be able to talk like normal people and actually have a proper chat with someone.

Just keep putting on the first "Few" episodes with the great late Leslie Crowther, then pulling the plug on it. I was looking forward to watching these Classic old shows again every Saturday night. But, endless repeats of "Millionaire" and "TNA" keep dominating the air waves. Oh well, I suppose it's back to that terrible "Harry Hill" version. It's the "Not Live" final tonight, can't wait - not!

Only to return months later, and start from the beginning again.I knew this would happen as soon a BGT finished. Now there is nothing on TV to watch on Saturday nights, soI suppose its back to my old dvd collection and watch some decent tv from years gone by.

It was annoying and stupid but the audience are most likely ordered to do it by the producers.
